(Notes of August 2007) Tasted by a half pint at the Swim Inn, a JDW pub in Sheffield.
A: pale straw in colour, perfectly clear, coming with pretty low carbonation and a creamy white frothy head to last.
S: light notes of cream, honey, grainy malts, and floral aroma. Refreshing, and faintly hoppy by Ossett's standards.
T: lightly stinky honey-ish edge of malts, lemongrass and floral scents of hops precede a lightly salty-sweet and dry zesty flavour that develops into the aftertaste, where saltiness sustains along with a pretty dry mouthfeel.
M&D: softly carbonated, but somehow lacking the level of carbonation for a truly fresh cask. Lightly-flavoured and light bodied blond bitter this is, with a distinctively light hop profile that is pretty unique amongst all Ossett's ales I've had.
