Pours a really light fairly hazy yellow, thin but attractive head.

Smells a little wheaty, maybe slightly tangy...kinda dull.

Taste is lightly sweet, a little hoppy for a kolsch, spicy and floral hops, mild flavors overall.

Mouthfeel is really good, crisp and very refreshing.

Decent beer. 6.3/10

Blackstone Chaser Pale German Style Kolsch from Nashville, TN. Actually says 5.2% ABV on bottle.

This beer had a light, hay (?) flavor with a small touch of citrus. Smelled barely like a hint of lemon. Enjoyable Kolsch.

I drank it out of a bottle from Food City in Knoxville, TN on 12/16/2012 from a create your own 6-pack.

Maybe/Yes.

A: Poured a cloudy, alka-seltzery orange color, with no head which honestly kinda bugged me given the style.

S: I didn't get much here. Maybe some bready malt, which was faint to put in bluntly.

T: On the taste, I really dug the crisp finish, which was very bready and ALMOST sour.

M: Not much in the way of bitterness, but I did like the light, cushiony carbonation bill. The lacing was mild, with a few blotches here and there.

O: Sometimes beer is best remembered in the environment in which you are drinking it. In this case, I was in my parents house (who my wife and I were visiting on vacation) and enjoyed their company... accompanying a local beer.

A medium white head settles into a thin lacing above a clearish straw golden colored beer.

A light bread like malt blends well with a light hops and yeast sourness.

The taste is on the lighter side with with bready malts and light hops that near border on sour, with a slight hint of something earthy.

There is a slight bitterness to the taste that is transferred through the light dry aftertaste and kind of stays with you on this lightish bodied beer.

A kolsch style beer that I kinda like, I think it's the bitterness and dryness coming through that sells this beer for me, I like me them hops.

Straw to light gold in color with slight chill haze. Fluffy white head that stayed with me through the entire 12oz serving. Head leaves moderate lacing along the way. Subdued but distinct malty, bready aroma--cereals and syrup. Medium body and mouth feel. Taste is full of malty goodness with some flowery notes. Moderately dry finish. Refreshing session beer thought perhaps a bit too gassy for style.

A very nice Kolsch!
