Pours a typical golden amber with a slight white head and some lacing. Aroma is fresh floral hops. Mouthfeel is good, medium density with plenty of carbonation. Taste is pleasantly floral/herbal with just a hint of malt backbone. Overall quite good for an area of the country not known as a craft beer haven.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip glass. A great looking beer; thick sticky head, hazy orange in color. Pine, floral, and citrus. Excellent taste, strong resiny hop flavor with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Previous reviewers complained a bit about the level of hop bitterness...I think that was the point y'all. Anyways, one of the best IPA's brewed in Tennessee IMO. Blackstone is really bringing it strong these days.

Clear orange with a billowing and persistent off white head. Minimal lacing.
Pleasant aromas of pine, citrus, and caramel.
The bittering hops are a bit much. If they were dialed back just a bit and let some of aromas shine through in the flavor this would be a really solid beer. It's astringent and boozy for 7.2%. Pine and citrus do come through but are drowned out by a palate bruising and soapy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is medium and full. Carbonation is as it should be.
It's a decent ipa that starts with a really nice aroma. It's just a little too bitter.
