Hitting like a session IPA. Looks great with decent lacing. Nose weak, light pine. Taste leaning on bitter side with some grapefruit, pine, light caramel. Light body, above average carbonation.

12 oz bottle, seeing now that it was "Best By 9/25/20", but had to really be squinted at to see.
Grabbed this one at one of my last stops in Nashville to sort of fill out the singles crates I was bringing back. Real cheap beer at $1.79 a single.
BIBCO Willie.
Has a rather clear golden honey color with a nice frothy creamy white head of 1/2 finger. Recedes moderately. Lots of lace.
Aroma of some caramel malt, garlic, pine, and lemon peel. Slight orange rind as well.
Flavor brings a nice mix of pilsner and toasted malt, with some bright lemon zest and grapefruit zest. Some tangerine fruit and juice on the finish. Actually pretty solid stuff.
Feel is crisp and resiny, real clean, just a tight beer. Very mild alcohol heat, kept well in check.
Overall, really I just popped this to get it out of the way once I noticed the date. I figured I'd be drain pouring it. I'm used to moving through beers quickly and "sampling" them since a lot of beers in my state's distro are either out of date (but not dated) or just plain meh. But I haven't had an inkling to dump one single beer yet, and this one's already a month out of date. This is a solid IPA, no bones about it.
With all of these great review beers, I have a feeling my new beer stash is going to deplete a lot slower than originally planned...
Price paid : $1.79 / bottle

Appearance: Pours a gently hazed, light golden body with a medium-small, white head.
Smell: Floral, lightly resiny tones and spent citrus slices overtop some slight bready hints.
Taste: Pale malted bready barley with some opening sweetish notes of honey or blonde caramel soon shift to hoppier tones of citrus fruits, light pith and a little resin. Moderate bitterness which coasts through the finish, as does a little pithy lemon-lime.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Fine albeit forgettable.

Deep, bright gold body with a lasting, thick and creamy head. Decent aroma; a bit of light malt, a bit of citrus and pine hop qualities. Balanced flavor, doing a good job of juggling low-key bready malt base with a snappy hop bitterness. Medium body; some residual sugar notes yet leaves a mostly dry finish on the palate.
All in all, a solid India pale ale, well-balanced and delivering some fine taste sensations. The aroma was rather light, but the appearance was super and the taste and feel spot-on for the style.

Golden pour, beautiful lace remains with multiple patterns. Skunky on the nose but very smooth IPA flavor, albeit a bit rough on the texture, but that is forgotten once the smooth and only slightly bitter finish takes over. Delicious and delightful mid-range IPA. High citrus at first then middle warmth of the barley, then clean slightly bitter finish.
