Poured from a bottle at 45 degrees out of the beer fridge into a Spiegelau Stemmed Pilsner (tulip) glass. I'll probably always have a soft spot for this beer, as it was one of the first craft brews that I ever tried.
A: Golden yellow in color, an aggressive pour yields a 1-finger head. Very little lacing, if any.
S: Cascade hops up front with a hint of maltiness hides behind the hops that shows some depth. I almost like the aroma better than the taste.
T: Follows the aroma with grapefruit up front, nice transition to other citrus flavors, very light. While this is certainly nice and bitter at the finish, it fades to a slightly chalky aftertaste in the finish that doesn't really cleanse the palate.
O: A solid APA that looks to be a nice summer beer. Nothing shockingly great here, but it is solid brew that is a welcome change of pace from porters and stouts. (Another suggestion is SA Noble Pils if you prefer pilseners.)
