A- Pale hazy golden body with a huge, foamy white head. Some light comes through the body, but it is hazy enough for no visibility. Head is big and foamy and leaves a lot of lacing.
S- Bananas, nutty bread, somewhat of a plastic smell. Surprising dull for a tripel with little in the way of fruity esters.
T- Flavor has a little more punch to it than the nose would indicate. Still lots of banana flavors come through for me, with some hints of tree fruits and toasted grains. The yeast seems to give off some clove flavors as well.
M- Medium-full bodied, medium carbonation. Pretty full bodied, but good drinkability.
O- I think this fits into the Belgian strong pale ale category more than a tripel, as the flavors a very different. I'm excited to see what this beer can do as the base for future splinter beers. Oak and wild yeast would do wonders for this one, but the base beer is just okay.

A: Slightly hazy dull yellow in color. Forms a very large, very stable off-white head. Excellent retention and lacing.
S: Aroma is pleasant, though I am pulling a lot of carbonation. Lots of yeasty esters. A little band-aid in the mix. Some lighter grassy or herbal hops.
T: The taste is likewise pleasant. Slight sweetness, with notes of pale malts, rock candy, yeast, bread, green apple, and some mild esters.
M: Medium bodied. Moderately high carbonation. Mild bitterness.
O: A nice beer and an accurate representation of the style. One of the better Troegs beers I've come across in some time.
