Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some maltiness is present. Taste is malts, some sweetness, a bit of hops as well, easy drinking for the abv. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

12oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Bottled 2/6/14
A: Golden, crystal clear body with a thin white head. Very inviting.
S: Prominent floral hops, biscuit and minerally aroma. Touch of caramel in the background.
T: First a hit of floral transitioning to grassy hops. Next is a little sweetness, bread and biscuit. Finishes crisp, grainy and dry. Moderate punch of alcohol near the end.
M: Light to medium body. Medium carb. Quite astringent. Sucks the moisture out of your mouth, but it leaves you quickly wanting another sip.
O: More substantial than your average bock, this would be perfect for cool spring days. Looking forward to those...still freezing my butt off.

Golden orange body beautifully filtered with a big white head chunky textured billowing above the rim of my pint glass. Aroma has bread yeast, biscuit malt, herbal earthy grass hop notes this is a nice smelling helles bock so far. Cereal grains, honey biscuit malts, grassy herbal hop finish this is a perfect beer borders on the sweetness of other high gravity lagers like malt liquors maybe a touch of green apple, but no residual sticky sweetness at all this is great beer tried and true. This reminds me of a version I had years ago the Penn Maibock on a kick the keg night at Fuel and Fuddle the drafts of Penn Maibock were marked down to 2 dollars and the whole bar was drinking this classic style with big smiles and laughter abound. Everybody had fun even if we were over indulging that night!!! Sugary glazed biscuit malts bring the flavor together with a nutty apple character in the malt department, again I love this beer, carbonation is full on and built into such said beer. Overall this beer brings back memories of a better time in the beer scene when Penn Maibock, Stoudt's Maibock, and Victory St. Boisterous tuned into the beer drinking scene also Sierra Nevada recently d/c'd their famous helles bock that was once a seasonal.

A clear and bright sort of dark yellow / pale amber beer shows itself after some tempestuous roiling settles to a full finger of very creamy off-white head, further aided by a champagne-like rise of bubbles for the entirety of the session. A thick cap of cream is maintained for the long term, and it leaves in its wake a big, extremely creamy and sticky ring at the top with webbing and patches following.
Fruity esters, pale grains, and biscuity receives a gentle hops addition giving some grass, herb, gentle pepper along with a bit of mineral and some earth in the yeastiness.
A bit of an alcoholic tinge comes off toasted grains up front leading right into dry leafy hops with some pith. Each sip begins with fruits and caramel that give way to the hops in the middle, and the balance is achieved best leading into the finish.
Fluffy and creamy, this beer is delicately smooth in its light body as well as being crisp, firmly so without having to bite too hard.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. 1/31/14 on the neck of the label
A: Pours a crystal clear golden with a dense off white head on top. Not really any visible carbonation in the body. Leaves some nice lacing on the sides of the glass.
S: Initial aroma gives you a nice sweet bready malt along with a light fruity hop aroma. The lager yeast
T: Nice flavor on this one. A well rounded, slightly malt forward brew. The lager yeast adds a depth of fruitiness reminiscent of grape. Hops add a bit of bitterness and fruitiness but it doesnt distract.
M: Medium body with a bit of a sticky mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Smooth and creamy character to it keeps it drinkable.
Overall an enjoyable new brew with a nice malt forward flavor. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
