Bottle thanks to Jwiss22

Pours a very deep ruby color, nearly black when fully poured, and one finger of off white head.

Scent of chocolate, roasted malts, some dark fruit, sugar, a mild hop character, and a hint of caramel.

Taste of roasted malts, sugars, grassy hops, some fruit and dry earth. I love a good hoppy Porter, and I could definitely drink this on a regular basis.

Mouthfeel is Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation.

another troegs brew that I have not had. Let's see how these two make a porter

A- cocoa body with brown lacing splashing around the glass. Looks hearty as we approach fall.

s- good coffee and chocolate scent that is tipped off some roasted malt scent. A little dark fruit even

t- all the flavors of the scent profile are on display to combine into a good porter taste. slight earthy flavors cameo in the tasting as well as that sweet dark fruit at the end

m- medium body

o- a good seasonal porter that keeps me interested. There is no doubt a sixer will make its way around these parts

A= very dark-brown gravy color, some effervescent activity when poured but almost no head or rimming.

S= bold and hoppy from the start (unless over-chilled), strong dry roasted malts.

T= dry yet offset with enough natural sweetness, generous Chinook hops bitters and florals, dry toasted malts, minor dry dark fruits evident.

M= satisfyingly dry with dry dark coffee and toasted dry malts.

D= very drinkable for someone who appreciates a dry dark quality porter. Not overdone on the ABV% so it's even more drinkable without being sedative.

Apperance: Well it's dark it has about a finger and a half of a tan rocky head that stays around quite well.

Aroma: A grapefruit aroma which is certainly different for an American porter. The malts are there but they seem to lurk underneath. Subtle hints of carob black licorice towards the end.

Taste: A citrusy bite at the start then peanuts in the middle and a smokiness at the end. the mouthfeel is certainly crisp. The peanut taste is closer to peanuts straight out of the shell.

Notes: A unique tasting porter in every good way very tasty. Cheers.

Thanks to tdt560 for hooking this up in a trade.

A - Poured a very dark brown color with a light brown head that leaves lacing

S - Is of roasted malt chocolate and noticeable hops

T - The roasted malt comes through first followed by some nice bitter hops

M - This beer has a medium body with medium carbonation to it

D - This is a rather interesting porter its got all the same features but with more hops its a well balanced brew easy to drink worth getting to try
