Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a small head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather heavy of a bready malt smell mixed with a bit of caramel sweetness. Along with these aromas comes notes of grapefruit and herbal hop as well as a bit of tangerine.
Taste – The taste begins with a cracker and bready malt flavor paired with a decent showing of hops. The hops are mainly a mix of pine and grapefruit hop tastes, with a little bit of a herbal hop backdrop. Other flavors of a light apricot and grape are there as well, adding a touch of sweetness. As the taste advances the hops get a bit more intense, while the malt flavors fade a bit, leaving one with a nicely hopped and rather pleasant taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to light in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is moderate. The feel is good for the style and the abv, making for a nice easy sipping brew.
Overall – A rather nice IPA. Flavorful and easy drinking.

Faintly hazy amber-orange with a fuzzy white foam head of moderate height.
I'm not sure how this one ever evaded me because that branding is etched pretty clearly in my memory, but this is that old school catty pine and graham punch that's even a little musty.
I don't miss the all but dead days of ruggy IPAs.

Hazy lighter gold color. Moderate head but it leaves thick streaks on the glass throughout the tasting.
Nice combination of fresh picked hops and clean pale malt.
Higher carbonation with a neutral body, this is a crisp beer. The malt base is quickly dominated by a biting black pepper kick. This leaves a long bitter aftertaste.

Can
L-clear and notably light yellow. Plenty of lacing though minimal head
S-some hops. Fairly minimal
T-there are, indeed, hops and the overall flavor has a couple of notes. Overall it’s fairly bitter and there’s not much else going on
F-smooth, light body
O-certainly drinkable, but not really standing out in any way. Did pair well with food.

From a fresh sixtel keg. Murky yellow with a nice lingering creamy head with good lacing. The aroma is awesome, pineapple heavy for me - has your palette anticipating the nectar of the gods! The big sip hits you nicely, but leaves you wanting more fruitiness and less bitterness. Unfortunately Troegs is following the devious craft beer industry trend of upping the ABV at the expense of balancing all the taste factors. A beer like this would be spectacular with a 5-something ABV, not 6.4 as it is.

L: Pours a nice bright gold with a finger of frothy head
S: has a nice bright and citrusy nose.
T: pineapple up front with a piney and bitter finish
F: thin but carbonated and refreshing
O: really enjoyed this beer. Sort of a blend between New England and West Coast. Very good

21012 lasered near bottom rim of bottle. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: “Deep gold” as on label, slight hop haze, 1-finger foamy off-white with below average retention and sparse lacing.
S: Pine and light melon notes are mainly it with pale malt sweetness. Clean without esters.
T: Flavor is mainly heavily bitter with lemon, resin, and pine notes. Malt flavor is absent other than a little nuttiness. Clean with no yeast character.
M: Medium bodied and pretty dry on the finish, bordering on astringent.
O: A beer so bitter only a bitter-mother would love it. Very old-school in its approach to IPA.

This was quite good, a smidge typical but it is a very good, reasonably priced standard IPA. Very hoppy still, good full body. Troegs as a whole is real solid. I like this more than Perpetual or Lollihop

Poured out into a clear glass beer mug a light golden color with a slightly thick white head. The smell was of citrus and hops. The taste was hoppy with a touch of sweetness. All in all, it was a good tasting beer.
