Served on tap at Troeg's 2 hours after kegging it...damn was it fresh! Re-sampled numerous times at just about any bar in the HBG area (Kclinger's, McGrath's, Marysville).

Appearance - A cloudy, milky-white, unfiltered beaut. This brew looks so much better than the Franziskaners and those run-of-the-mill wheats. Plus, nobody asks me if I want any fruit in it...but it is so cloudy at first, it is hard to tell where the head is. It is a very nice looking brew all-around.

Smell - Wheat, fruit, hops, and a few more spicy notes I cannot quite place (cinnamon?). Smells almost good enough to eat with a definite sweetness to it.

Taste - The taste was very good. I am usually wary of wheat beers, thanks to Appalachian's Water-Gap Wheat, but this was truly done well. A slight hoppy note with some citrusy and sweet notes throughout. Clove-like flavors also come through. A friendly, yet different brew.

Mouthfeel - Smooth like a glass of milk with little carbonation. Easy going down, with some residue sliding in there as well. Not bad at all.

Drinkability - Like I said, I am not really into the wheat beers all that much, however, this is a great summer sippin brew for those hot days. Very fluffy and easy to drink, and it won't kick you in the head with alcohol. Definitely try this local gem. Kudos to Troeg's for experimenting!

Beer pours clear but becomes beautifully murky with the addition of the yeast residue (or maybe that's my saliva). Rich head dissipates too quickly. More orange than amber in color. Strong banana aroma, reminiscent of a high school organic chem experiment--esters gone bad. In other words, this is an artificial banana smell. But pleasant nonethless. Other notes are spices, principally clove. Banana and clove dominate on the palate as well. Completely inoffensive, lives up to expectations for a transitional seasonal beer. If Dream Weaver were a boy band, it would be One Direction. So much for the brewer's nod to Gary Wright.

BOD 3/2/15. Pours a slightly hazy golden. Outstanding head volume, normal lacing and retention.

World class nose of clove, light banana and hints of pepper over a base of wheat and pale malt.

Heavy light body, which is normal for the style, with a very smooth texture. Superbly carbonated with a rich prickly effervescence from the middle on.

The flavor profile is borderline world class due to a slight lack of complexity. While intense and well balanced, it is clove focused and other hefeweizen aspects are rather subdued, such as banana. It begins with clove phenolics and they remain through the finish. The middle brings very slight banana, a nice grainy wheat aspect and only a hint of hops - no real bitterness to speak of. The finish is a slowwwww fade of the clove phenolic.

A very enjoyable American Wheat more on the Hefe side of the spectrum than the Oberon side. Pours a perpetually hazed golden straw into an 8 oz mug, the only glass wear at my house that isn’t packed up for moving. Nice white head, superb retention. Aroma is more complex than just bananas and wheat, although both are present. Dried apricot, bread dough, tremendous spicing including, oddly enough, salt peter???, and some esters. Tastes like a wheat cereal with coriander, pepper, clove, and dried bananas mixed in. Very spicy. Nice carbonation. I really enjoy it. Nearly full body. Nice carbonation. A winner.

Hazy cloudy pale. Classic hefeweizen scent, with noticeable citrue. Wow, this is a really tasty wheat beer. Definitely better than Sierra Nevada's, which is the last wheat beer I can remember drinking. The citrus tones are nicely balanced with the malt, making it feel rather hearty, especially for what is usually considered a light(er) beer. Tasty indeed. Too bad this only comes 3-to-a-12-pack. Absolutely worthy of its own six-pack.

Thankyou Drafting Room for brinking this very yummy Troegs tap offering! It poured out a creamy looking peachy apricot color that there was no way to see through at all, this almost looked frozen. Nice creamy, milkshakey, egg-white head that reduced down to a nice covering. Carbination is not noticable. Scents of banana, fresh grash, gingerale, white grapes.

Incredibly smooth, almost thick, but yet soooo drinkable. Tastes of bananas, very light white wine spritzer, and slight citrus. Very clean and fresh! After the lemon is added- which I looove in my wheats, the flavors become a bit crisper. Sooo very nice! Once again, kudos to the Troegner brothers!
