Aroma is wheaty and citrusy, with a huge clove punch. Notes of sour lemon and orange pith emerge.

Flavor is wheat dominant, becoming biscuity malt dominant in the finish. Muddled citrus and clove add character early, but aren't as pronounced as in aroma. Banana surfaces late. Seems a little watery.

12 ounce bottle served in a pint glass.

Pours a clear, golden color with a nice two finger head. Nice lacing throughout.

Smells of wheat, biscuit, cloves, perhaps some lemongrass as well.

Pretty much taste the same as it's aroma. Very easy to drink. Light and crisp!

Very nice beer... one of the better ones I've had in this category. Worth a 6 pack for easy, summertime drinking.

Nice and light wheat beer. Pours a pale yellow, almost like a pineapple juice look. You can taste clove, lemon, pineapple and overall banana. Would consider putting it on draft.

Pours a clouded yellow with a fizzy white head that leaves rings on lacing behind.

Smells spicy, I get notes of nutmeg, clove, toasted grain, honey.

I was very surprised by the flavor, the spices come through in the beginning, but don't overwhelm, the malt takes the middle, and there's a very minor bitter that takes the finish.

Light bodied, crisp, leaves clean.

A very good beer, but don't think I would want to session it.

Dream Weaver, I believe I can make it through this piii---innntt!
That song keeps ringing in my head as I pour this nice Troegs brew from a growler in a pint glass. Pours a hazy yellow with tinges of orange and a fantastic head of white foam that settles to a thick ring and thick layer with excellent lacing. Smell of heavy banana bread, sweet rich caramels, and subtle clove. Flavors follow the nose with a banana and moderately yeasty bread flavor that is on all sides that mingles with a mild caramel note in the middle. Flavors progress to a light lemon and herbal note on the back with a light dose of clove. Very solid and substantial. Lightly tart finish with prickly carbonated mouth feel.

Pours a cloudy orange tone, medium carbonation. Has a banana sweet aroma, feels thin in your mouth. Finishes with a peppery pop, leaves a clove aftertaste. Not bad but not a favorite from Troegs.

Poured from the tap at the Blue & Grey Pub in Gettysburg, PA into a pint glass. This beer is a very nice hefeweizen. The aroma is full of fruit, pepper and cloves. The flavor is wheat, cloves and fruit and is very nice. The beer is a slightly murky golden color with a smooth texture. a very good beer, highly recommended.

On tap at Blue & Grey Bar & Grill in Gettysburg, PA.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, earth, spice, banana, caramel, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, caramel, banana, spice, and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice and yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but the mix of aromas is slightly better to me.

Serving type: on tap.

Appearance: I will regrettably note that I neglected to record my impressions of the appearance.

Aroma: Banana, cinnamon, clove, and bubblegum (as expected)

Flavor: Banana, clove, cinnamon, bubblegum burst on the palate at once. However, the sensory overload is ephemeral as the delightful elements are washed away by a dry, watery finish. The slick mouthfeel lacks the depth that I anticipated. As others have noted, this is highly carbonated. Some clove and cinnamon remain on the palate as a faint reminder of what could have been.

All of the elements of a good hefe are here. However, the watery mouthfeel really holds this one back. Lacks the decadent creaminess of a top notch hefe. Not a bad offering by any stretch but it lacks the attentiveness characteristic of a fantastic brewery like Troegs.

Taste - Lemon, wheat, banana, spices and a whole lot of funk. Not the best from Troegs that's for sure. Nowhere near the best wheat beer either. There are better options out there.

Poured into a hefe glass.

Look: After rousing the yeast, the beer had a pleasant yellow, hazy demeanor. Looked more to the yellow side like Weihenstephaner rather than gold like Paulaner or Franziskaner. I got a ton of bubbles, but I think it was because the bottom of my glass is messed up.

Smell: There was something... off with the nose on the one. Couldn't put my finger on it, but it was a cloying sweet smell that didn't really do it for me. Banana, cloves were the main pulls from the smell.

Taste: Taste was underwhelming. It was a pretty simple taste but the ingredients didn't really come together perfectly for my tastes. Had the taste of something a little thrown together to me.

Mouthfeel: A bit too thin for a hefe in my opinion; also the carbonation was NOT due to the glass... the beer is definitely overcarbonated.

All in all, I've had many better hefes than this. Had a few worse ones, but far more better ones and this is my favorite style. This just didn't do anything exceptionally.

Appearance: Pours a hazy honey color with a modest bubble show that produces a two inch cap; shards of lacing linger

Smell: Graham cracker and clove, with slight hint of banana

Taste: Graham cracker and banana, up front, with the clove tones building to prominence; spicy and peppery phenols, after the swallow, yield a distinctive finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; slightly creamy

Overall: A decent hefe; lacks the banana and the mouthfeel to be in the top tier

A: hazy; deep gold in color; 2 finger ivory head that receded slowly to a wispy cap; very nice lacing;

S: wheat, clove, and banana; a hint of bubblegum;

T: wheat and citrus up front; clove and banana take over at mid-palate; finish is lightly tart and lightly bitter at the same time;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: very nicely done; would have liked the clove and banana to be a little more prominent, but that's nitpicking;

Tröegs Dream Weaver Wheat brewed by Tröegs Brewing Company, with an ABV of 4.80% This brew pours out cloudy amber color, with a nice white head. This is an unfiltered brew you can not see though it. The smell is rich with grains, malts, and hops. There is a nice nice sweetness to this brew. Now for the taste, it is sweet and bold with flavors. You pick up a nice fruit sweetness in this brew. There is a lot going on in Tröegs Dream Weaver Wheat. I like how this brew is different from most brews on the market. The mouthfeel is rich sweet, and smooth. There is nothing overpowering about Tröegs Dream Weaver Wheat , it has a nice balance to it. No bad aftertaste to this brew. Overall I'm giving Tröegs Dream Weaver Wheat a 4.5 out 5. I would buy this brew again. Tröegs Brewing Company did a nice job with this one. It is a nice smooth, sweet drinking brew.

This reviewer was spot on... "A: Clear sunshine yellow, very active carbonation throughout, 1/4 inch head that stays. S: Bananas, but the artificial syrupy kind, and apple tartness, slight clove spice. T: Empty. Not much there on the front end, slight apple and banana on the back-end. A super disappointment here. M: Very high carbonation, almost too much, similar to that of seltzer water, very bitey with each gulp. O: Very disappointed. I was hoping this would fit the bill for my summer go-to this year. Nope."

BOD 3/2/15. Pours a slightly hazy golden. Outstanding head volume, normal lacing and retention.

World class nose of clove, light banana and hints of pepper over a base of wheat and pale malt.

Heavy light body, which is normal for the style, with a very smooth texture. Superbly carbonated with a rich prickly effervescence from the middle on.

The flavor profile is borderline world class due to a slight lack of complexity. While intense and well balanced, it is clove focused and other hefeweizen aspects are rather subdued, such as banana. It begins with clove phenolics and they remain through the finish. The middle brings very slight banana, a nice grainy wheat aspect and only a hint of hops - no real bitterness to speak of. The finish is a slowwwww fade of the clove phenolic.

Deep golden color with no carbonation. Thick head that never dissipates. Very excellent smell of wheat and citrus - very great blend. Taste is mediocre. Surprising from the great smell but almost no citrus taste and just heavy wheat; bland.

L - Amber colored with decent head, average retention.
S - Fairly spicy and sweet with hints of banana
T - You can taste all the spiciness up front, followed by a slight taste of banana. Has a very sweet but faint aftertaste that enhances the overall taste of the beer.
F - Fairly carbonated, thin complexion.
O - Very enjoyable beer. Really enjoyed the sweet aftertaste.

Glassware: Wheat glass (brewery recommendation)

Appearance: Cloudy, but still translucent gold body with a creamy white active and moderately thick head.

Smell: Spices and pepper.

Taste: peppery with a small hint of banana.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, but still active on the tongue

Overall: Nice wheat beer, but not one of my favorites.

Beer pours clear but becomes beautifully murky with the addition of the yeast residue (or maybe that's my saliva). Rich head dissipates too quickly. More orange than amber in color. Strong banana aroma, reminiscent of a high school organic chem experiment--esters gone bad. In other words, this is an artificial banana smell. But pleasant nonethless. Other notes are spices, principally clove. Banana and clove dominate on the palate as well. Completely inoffensive, lives up to expectations for a transitional seasonal beer. If Dream Weaver were a boy band, it would be One Direction. So much for the brewer's nod to Gary Wright.

12 oz. bottle. Pale straw in color and somewhat clear until adding the yeast sediment from the bottle, which darkens the color a bit and creates a cloudy appearance.  Large, fluffy white head out of the bottle, but it doesn't last long. Aroma leans more towards clove and spice than fruit. A bit of banana and lemon citrus round things out. The clove sticks around in the flavor and the beer's light body probably accentuates that a bit. The fruit takes a backseat to the spice.

Overall, this was a little thin for me. The flavors are good and there is nothing offensive going on here, but I would have liked a little more fullness to round everything oit. Not a bad beer by any means, but not something I will be rushing back to purchase again as there are better versions of the style.

Not sure I'd call it a Hefeweizen, more like a decent witbeer. Still a refreshing brew. I can see enjoying a couple in the furture on a nice warm summer day.

Big fluffy, snow-white head atop a slightly hazy, lemon-yellow brew.

Huge banana notes, a touch of citrus.

Flavor follows, hinting strongly of bananas, wheat, hay, crackers, and a touch of lemon. Not a lot going on.

Very thin mouthfeel, moderately lively. Very drinkable.

This is a decent Hefe that shows promise, but is just too thin and boring to live up to it.

Beer pours a cloudy yellow/orange. Head poured three fingers high and retains well. Smell is coriander, taste the same. Not much of a diverse profile, a dull coriander taste dominates the front and some bread on the finish. Great brewery, not their best beer. Will not revisit.
