look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 2.5 | overall: 4

Pours a hazy orangish-yellow with a 1/4" of soft, white head that fades quickly. The nose has notes of yeast, bananas, white grapes, and cloves. The taste is spicy at first with decent clove notes. Then there are some fruity notes that comes through, mostly banana. There is just a hint of bubblegum in the finish. The mouthfeel is overly carbonated, quite dry, and very light.

The mouthfeel threw this one off. It's so heavily carbonated that it interferes with the taste buds. Overall, the flavor and nose were quite good. A little less carbonation puts this up there with some of the better hefes.

Had on-tap at Rattle N Hum in NYC on 11/17/11.
Review taken from notes.

This beer pours a nice golden yellow color. There is a finger of pure white head on top. The head has good retention, and leaves a nice bit of lace behind on the glass. The nose has a nice bit of banana and clove right off the bat. There is also some belgian yeast, light fruits, mild hops, and some citrus. The taste starts off with a nice bit of wheat, banana, clove, and citrus. There is a nice mild hop presence and some fruit. The finish leaves a lingering earthy hop flavor, clove, and some citrus. This has a medium body and good carbonation. It goes down easy and has a nice smooth feel to it. I it refreshing and really hits the spot. There is some earthiness as well as some tingly spice from the clove. This has really good drinkability. It is a beer I could sit down and drink all night. Overall I think it is a really nice beer, and a good example of the style. I recommend trying this one, I would buy it again.
