A: A hazy amber in color with a huge off white head at the top, there was barely any lacing to really talk about.

S: Very bready smell up front, a little sweetness, very basic nose to this one, slight hints of tropical fruit.

T: Very sweet up front and loaded with carbonation, lots of citrus and lemon notes. Leaves a bready sweet after taste, lite bits of honey on this on.

M: Light bodied beer with a lot of carbonation, almost tasted like an orangina.

O: This was not a bad beer but very sweet for my liking for this type of style, not a bad beer to have on a hot summer day after doing yard work.

Pours a medium sized white head with okay retention. Beer is a slightly cloudy pale yellow color. Leaves just a tiny bit of lacing. Aroma consists of wheat, spice, banana, and bread.

The clove comes out more in the taste, but is still not in the forefront. Banana, bread, and spice are the main flavors, with wheat, bubblegum, and clove behind that. Light to medium body with high carbonation, a little grainy.

12 oz bottle, pint glass, date worn off.

A - hazy golden brew with about two maybe three fingers of white foam. Pretty good retention, not much lacing.

S - I don't agree with reviews calling the banana subtle. There was an initial assault of banana backed up by bubblegum aromas, a hint of vanilla, and the wheat/yeast/bread characteristics as the banana eventually got out of the way. A very slight citrus presence as well.

T - Very fruity with a sledgehammer of banana up front. Then some citrus notes - seems more orange than lemony. This is followed by a little vanilla, the wheat character, a little yeastiness, then a nice little surprise of coriander/clove spiciness. There's a melon flavor (cantaloupe?) lurking in there too. Playing along with all of this, there was a lot of phenolic character to this beer. Seems to have a lot going on, but not in a muddled way.

M - very soft initially, but then it becomes nicely drying eventually asking for you to take the next sip. Maybe the drying effect brings out the more subtle flavors? Carbonation was pretty lively but not annoying. A very slight chalky feel, but not much.

O - wife and I both said "lots happening" at the same time. So yes - lots going on. Other than the banana, the flavors aren't "in your face" and are very subtle. I don't think I can pick out all the flavors that are involved. Complex, yet easy drinking and very refreshing. Nice beer, refreshing and inviting. Well done.
