Poured from this fridge cold bottle into a Weizen glass.
A-Cloudy, golden yellow big 3 inch head made up of big bubbles. Disappated to about 1/2 in a minute took another few minutes to disapate to a thin coat while I examined and smeeled this beer. Hold this one up to the light and a wild looking swirl of yeast can seen, give the glass a swril and it looked like a tornado in the glass. Really cool. Overly a fairly appetizing look.

S-I smelled an odd smell that I could could not place at first then banana, clove, yeast, a little apple and maybe some citrus. My wife gave it sniff and said sauerkraut. That placed it for me it was sulfur. That put me off a little.

T-Banana, lots of it. some peppery clove. No hops evident. Wheat came through pretty strong. A real nice wheat beer, more like a Hefe than the Ramstein I just reviewed, which is listed as such.

M-really nice mouthfeel, chewy medium body not watery at all. balanced by a nice even cabonation.

D- Hot day outside on my deck with nothin to do and nowhere to go, I could throw back a half dozen.

This beer reminds me a lot of Hacker Pshorr.

Sure, it is mediocre for a German Hefe-weizen, but for an American take on the style? It is freakin' genius!!!!

It pours a little light, looking more like a pils than a hefe-weizen. Actually, it looks like a krystal-weizen -- which I suppose it is.

It smells like bananas and wheat.

The taste follows the smell. A little one-dimensional for a weizen. No clove, lots of banana. Wow, did they put bananas in it?

But the mouthfeel is light and refreshing.

Yeah, yeah. It is a good beer. Not a great beer, but a very good beer. It really tastes like a weizen.

Yeah, thanks Muenchenerkindl! This beer showed me that American breweries besides Sprecher can actually produce a wheat beer that passes for what they serve in Germany.

poured into perfect pint.

A: pours cloudy yellow, with a short lasting white finger thick head.
S: wheat, clove, and a bit of banana.
T: more banana, than clove, sweet wheat malt. a light bit of hops
M: high crisp carbonation, slick.
D: good simple flavors, not to heavy in the abv area, could drink a few of these.

Bright yellow, got it at Kybecca in VA fredericksburg

A- Poured a bright yellow with a light yellow head on top. fizzy yellow beer. almost Pils like. not foggy pretty clear. wasnt much sediment in the bottom either.

S- big bannana and clove scents. some light wheat, but this is a definite bavarian twist style beer.

T- smooth wheaty flavor, lighter on the banana clove etc phenols and esters in the taste than on the nose, but its still there and plays a big role since its such an effervescent beer.

M- surprizingly full body for a 4.8% and a high carbonation beer.

D- pretty solid. i miss the huge wheat that tends to go with these things but it definitely has enough yeasty characteristics to make it a tasty brew.

I got this 12oz single from a mix pack obtained at Wegmans in Cicero NY. Bottled on June 23 2010, served cold in a chilled pint glass.

Cloudy and very pale yellow brew gives 1" of white foam that settles to a think layer that leaves a bit of thin lace. Smell is mostly stale cinnamon. Taste/feel is a moderate unidentifiable hop bite, stale cinnamon, some smooth milky character... thin and highly carbonated but still reasonably smooth. Finish is fading cinnamon and hop, mostly dry.

Great for summer. Peachy-colored. Hazy.

Strong wheat taste. Fruity. Corriander-type tastes, like a Belgian wheat beer. One of my pals, who is not really into craft beer, found it too sweet. Not sure if I would call it sweet, but those fruity/wheat tastes can be confused for sweet.

Very smooth where I had it on-tap, which was at the Grey Lodge.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a 0.5L Paulaner-branded weizen glass.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden color with a tight, white head that sticks around for a while leaving spotty lacing.

Smell: Has a strong wheat smell with notes of cloves and hints of lemon.

Taste: Has a strong wheat flavor which is cut by a slight hoppy bitterness. Notes of citrus fruits in the background.

Mouthfeel: Crisp and refreshing with a nice carbonation bite.

Drinkability: A pretty decent wheat beer. Would be great for a warm summer day.

Poured into a weizen glass.

A - Pale yellow coloration, transparent, hmm, unfiltered? Could have fooled me. Thin soapy head, not much lacing left behind.

S - The aroma of lemon juice fills the nose. That is all.

T - Banana candy with a lemon backing. Bland and one sided, there isn't much here. I know it's not supposed to be a german style hefeweizen, but come on, give me something.

M - Light bodied, sharp carbonation, slightly watery consistency.

D - November Golf. No Go. I suppose if you were looking for a high citrus powered alternative to lemonade that had an abv, this would suit you well. Otherwise don't bother.
