450lbs. of wet Mosaic hops inject intense olfactory hues of overripe mango, bright citrus fruit, and resinous pine sap into this succulent Fresh Hop Ale.

Perhaps it was different fresher but this doesn't have that fresh green and highly aromatic aroma or flavor I look for in a fresh hop. Coming from Washington and having hit the big fresh hop festivals year after year, that flavor is easy to identify. Very present light maltiness, a distinct "beer" flavor in the finish (and by that, I mean an inexpensive beer), nothing really floral, fruity, vegetal, or citrusy coming from the hops.

I tried this on tap at Federal Taphouse, served chilled in a pint glass.
The color is lightly hazed golden honey amber with thick white head with good retention and fine bead. The smell is slightly floral almost peachy with slight herbal and citrus complimentary aromas. The feel is pretty decent with hop resins and moderately bitter feel with a balanced of sweetness but dry finish in general.
This is a good ale to taste, smell is pretty good but the flavor pops a little bit with some more jazzy hop flavors that come off as dank with an experimental hop type earthy yet lemony citrus in the mix with a hint of grapefruit zest and spice. I recommend this as it was nicely balanced with some mild malt to support the hops and round out the flavors in a complete package.
