Pours a very dark brown color that only gives off a mahogany hue when held to the light. There is a continuous slow carbonation that creates a thin tan head with very nice retention.
Smell is somewhat undertoned for what I am used to in nut browns. There is not much of a caramel malt smell and there is more of a hop smell than usual.
Taste doesn't have a ton going on. There is a bit of the toffee malt and caramel malts, but it is dominated by a light hop taste like the smell.
Mouthfeel is very thin for a nut brown. There is a slight chewiness too, that is per usual on a nut brown.
Drinkability is good. Troegs Nut Brown has a good balance and some good taste without overwhelming, but not great enough to go out of your way to try.

Looks like a nut brown. Gorgeous khaki head with a creamy density. Deep red-brown body with some light allowance.
Sweet hazelnut malts with coffee notes, herbal hops, earthiness, toffee, and a hint of harvest fruit. Delicate, yet robust.
Kind of a thin flavor. It's not marred by any metallic notes or sweetness. Light and dry. Breakfast coffee, almond, toffee, scorched earth, tree bark, hints of alkaline (cocoa/hop bitterness), herbal flavors, hazelnut, and a kiss of red apple. Quite nice, sans the lack of intensity.
Drinks easily. Very soft-bodied. Round and rolling, in the mouth. Lightly carbonated for an enduring session drink.
Happy that Troegs brought this back so that I could finally review it. Cheers!
