Clear, piss colored liquid pours to a nice finger + of head that leaves nice spiderweb lacing down the glass. Doesn't get much more to the point.

The aroma is nice and crisp with a good amount of biscuit, and slightly sweet malts. There seems to be a hint of citrus hops.

The taste is very good, with a bit of biscuity malts, a very small touch of sweetness, and a dash of slight citrus hops on the finish.

Feel is crisp, and light, but at the same time there's a slight silky quality to it. Carbonation is high, but nowhere near over the top.

High drinkability. This is a very nice, refreshing, and tasty pils.

A - Not quite clear straw with a good head on a hard pour.

S - Very grassy, with some lemon.

T - Somewhat sweet with an aggressive hop bite. A bit of bready malt and herbal hop flavour. Very clean.

M - Lightish, without being watery. Carbonation is well controlled.

D - Pretty easy drinking warmweather brew. Clean, crisp, no off flavours and decently tasty.

Today is a decidedly un-pilsener-y day weather wise but I thought I'd better drink this as fresh as possible and give my Pilsener flute a rare Autumn workout. Sampled 10/23/10.

Forms a three finger tall cap of bright white foam atop a clean pale straw-colored body. While not a match for some in the style, head retention is decent enough and lacing is very nice.

Sweet biscuity malt aroma with some mild grassy and herbal hop notes. Not as aromatic as some of my favorites in the style but it works.

To my slight surprise and enjoyment the grassy hop bitterness is markedly more assertive on first sip than it was on the aroma. Malt sweetness is more subtle than I might have guessed from the slightly high for the style 5.3% abv. Aftertaste is even more loaded on hops than it was to start.

While not my favorite Pils this is another very nice example of a fine Americans brewed Pilsener.

Reviewed from notes.

Pours a light straw golden color with a white head and a bit of lacing as it moves down my pilsner glass. The nose brings some light grainy notes as well as a bit of Noble hops.

The taste brings a nice amount of bitterness as well as some herbal and floral notes. Light grain fills out the light body, which has some nice carbonation. A really nice, drinkable summer brew.

Transparent golden in body with white head on top. Aroma of grains, hops, dew and some floral notes. Flavors of hops, slight wet leaves, floral notes, some flittering honey notes, and some nice dryness towards the finish. Crisp and refreshingly light in body and carbonation.

Served in a frosted glass at the Nantucket Lobster Trap restaurant this summery specialty shows a very clear, pale straw gold color with a healthy white crop of head and plenty of lacing foretelling a good quality brew. The aroma is skunky cereal wheat and rice, much to my liking for pilsners, deep in doughy bread sourness. The flavor speaks of fairly creamy citrus rice and light rye wheat. This pleasant taste suits me. It's got the kind of crisp refreshment you look forward to but it feels pretty chewy for a pilsner, creamy with relatively subtle, "tiny" carbonation. Unusually smooth without sacrificing too much of the refreshing quality you expect from a pilsner. Very edible and equally drinkable. Great with food and flavorful on its own merits. A highly satisfying pilsner.

I had a sixteen ounce glass of this because one of my favorite bartenders at one of my favorite bars said this was a good beer and she really seemed to mean it. I also liked this beer but would not put it in my list of great german pilsners. A little on the smooth side to be considered a german pilsner and not quite bright enough but a very good summer drinker which, if it gets hot again, i'll have a few pints of.

Serving sytle - Bottle

Appearance - Mellow yellow with a foamy, white 1 inch head, tons of sticky lacing.

Smell - Light hops, some wheat/floral aroma. Pilsner malts, banana, light yeasts.

Taste - Starts off with a nice blend of crisp hops, light pilsner malts and added yeasty sugars. A floral note with some banana, grapes and lemons. Nice malt backbone that adds a little caramel and toffee. A little bitter grapefruit and sour pilsner malt flavor comes in the finish.

Mouthfeel - The hops and pilsner malts come out and coat the tongue. Palate picks up yeasts, pilsner malts and some floral fruits. Aftertaste is crisp, mild bitter and sweet.

Drinkabilty - This is the kind of beer people should be drinking at bbq's and at ball parks, not budweiser or miller. Easy to drink, would go great with burger, hot dog etc. Packs a lot of flavor for being a messily 4.5%. Good stuff here

Poured three 12 oz bottles into a clear dimpled liter stein.

Pale yellow with fluffy white head that thinned out quickly. Decent lacing.

Sweet smell with some bitterness but not hoppy.

Pleasant grassy taste with more bitterness than I expect in a pilsner.

Mouthfeel is fine with a little "sting" from the carbonation.

Drinkable and enjoyable but nothing special.

What a disappointment. But, maybe, not really - it is a summer seasonal. And these tend to be known for weak, light flavorings with some false scents and sense of beach.

Atrociously light bodied and a forced smooth drinking leaves me wanting to take no more sips. A pilsner even weaker by trying to pretend to have some honey sweetness. At 5.3 abv, this is not worth it. Avoid.

Bright lemon yellow with a slight cloudiness. The head is white in color, and deposits a decent amount of lacing.

The nose s citrus hops and some light grain.

Fresh grain and biscuit malt with a touch of citrus hops, almost the flip of the nose.

The body is medium and the feel is crisp, not to shabby.

Part of the sampler pack I picked up and the brews are about 5 months old. I know I will get killed for this but this beer is not as good as SA Noble Pils, not even close.

Bottled version with a "bottled on" date of 05/26/10. Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Stella Artois pilsner glass. Emerges crystal clear, orange straw colored, and is topped by a decent sized, stark white head. A bit of lacing is present and head forms a thin veil on the surface of the beer.

Aroms is straw-like and hay, grassiness. Certainly full of the noble hop aromas and is slightly earthy. Light maltiness in the background has a Vienna-malt type aroma.

Great flavors as well. Crisp and super clean on the palate. Very earthy and grassy with a touch of lemon zest. Hop bitterness is perfect and is stark. Very clean and really dry in the finish. A true mouth cleanser.

A beauty in the making. Perfect for a crisp autumn day or a hot summer day. Right now, the current weather is toward the latter. I enjoyed this and when this style is done right, it is hard to beat.

A-pours a transparent golden yellow with a bubbly dense white head with a decent lace left behind.

S-the nose is grainy with light notes of caramel and bread, just a hint of and then some hay like grassy hops in the back.

T-the caramel and bread are upfront, very light, the grain in this really dominates, the hop presence is mild in the back, a little more lemon than the nose with some herbal, hay like and grassy hops.

M-carbonated and crisp finish on a lively body that seems a little grainy. light and easy to drink.

D-the grain really drives the flavors here and the hop presence is mild at best and the finish is a little watery in terms of flavor. it is still tasty, just has some issues.

A- Extremly light yellow in color.

S- fruity notes and hops.

T- Hops and light citrus notes from the hops. Very settle in spices. not over powering.

M-Semi-dry smooth to the pallet. Filling and light.

D- It's still summer in my book. And this beer resembles it. Fruits hops oh my. Um some more please hope summer never ends.

The beer poured a very nice light crystal lemon color with a 1/2" head then it lay down to a nice lace around the glass. The smell is very crisp with a hint lemon and crisp hops. The taste is light lemon flavor with a hint of light hop on the back of the tongue. Very refreshing and has great mouth feel and very drinkable.

Pours a crystal clear lemion with a good initial head that recedes to a light bubbly froth. Smell is slightly grassy with light malt and hop presence. Taste is light, malty, crisp and refreshing in quality.
Mouthfeel is light with a distinct dry quality that is very refreshing.
Very easy on the drinkability scale. A definite summer thirst quencher. Not Prima Pils but a better than average offering. Bought on sale at 4.99 a six...that's a real deal.

Got this in a Troegs mix pack, cold 12oz bottle poured into a chilled pint glass.

This very light neon yellow brew gives about 1/2" of white head that settles quickly to a thin layer and leaves small traces of lace on the glass. Smell is faint skunk and malt, pleasant but pretty thin. Taste is a nice mix of faint skunk, a moderate amount of light malts, some nice florals and a light mixed hop. Finishes with a bit of resiny hop that lingers for longer than expected. Mouthfeel is fresh crisp and smooth. Very tasty and goes down easily.

Beer was poured into a 20oz imperial pint. Had a nice bright white head with a good bit of lacing.

Nice soft floral notes with a touch of fresh hops, yet not as much as you might expect from a Pilsner

Beer was very soft, the floral notes carried over to the taste but the hops seemed be lacking. Again, for a Pilsner I expected a bit more hoppiness. There was a biitter after-taste that I found unappealing.

The Mouthfeel was lacking, there was just not much. Everything about it was fleeting.

For a light, Summer beer, this one was o.k. Light, drinkable, a good session beer.

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow color pils with a nice pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light floral hops with crisp hops is pleasant. Taste is also dominated by light floral malt with balanced sweetness and crisp dry hops. No adjunct could be detected which is nice but additional presence of Noble hops would have been even better. Well brewed and very refreshing.

Very drinkable summer beer, light, golden yellow, light lemon flavor to it, not overdone at all, tastes very natural, not overly hoppy or bitter, would have maybe enjoyed a little more of that, but doesn't take away from the beer too much.

Definitely a session beer, good for a hot day, but has a better flavor than some of the other Pilseners I have had, has some more flavor to it.

I liked it, well done.

Poured into a hefe glass. Color was a very light straw color with a brilliant white froathy head that lasted for several minutes. Copious amounts of bubbles rose from the bottom. Aroma was very hoppy with hints of vanilla and pepper. Taste was a bit hoppy at first, but mellowed out nicely to what was almost sweet. Very thin in the mouth. Coated ok at first, but didn't follow through, so by the end your mouth was almost dry. Very strange feeling. Despite that, I kept wanting to drink more.

A drinkable pilsner has a pleant taste going down though quickly gets bitter very fast. This pilsner alot of carbanation. Smell is also bitter. The bitterness kind of hurts the drinkabilty after awhile though so you probably wouldn't want to drink too many of them

GLASS: Pilsener Glass
TEMP: Cellared @ approx 50 degrees, fridge chilled for approx 20 minutes before pouring

Ahh, yes, the crystal clear, golden yellow color of a pilsner. It has a three-finger head of craggy, thick, white foam sitting on top. The retention is quite good and the lacing is thick and quite sticky.

A nose full of the scents of grains. Some light lemon and citrus notes. Clean grass and a light hint of herb-ness. Mild biscuit notes.

Grains and a touch of biscuit. A good dose of hop bitterness. Light hints of earthiness.

This is medium-bodied and has a light-to-medium level of carbonation. It is very smooth, light and crisp.

It's crisp and refreshing. The abv is appropriately low. The hops just seem to be slightly out-of-balance to me. Just a touch too much bitter bite.

12 oz. bottle poured into my pilsner style tale glass. Bottled on 6/1/10 with batch number on neck.

A - Clear as day straw yellow. Creamy white ahead about two fingers high. Carbonation bubbles rise quickly and continue to do so throughout the entire glass.

S - Noble hops with lemon zest. Little bit of bread from the yeast in the background.

T - Grassy hops hit first. Little bits of acidic fruits. The bitterness of the hops seems to come in as it hits your tongue then recede, only to come back in a dryer way once you swallow.

M - Body is light with medium to high carbonation.

D - I could drink this one all day. One of my favorite pilsners and another reason to look forward to the summer!

Poured this 12 oz. brown bottle into a Sam Adams glass. Bottled on: 052010, batch 100425. Served a little warmer than 50F. The beer was a hazy, light yellow-white. There was a mild white head. A film remained and left some light lacing.

The aroma was lemony with fresh clean grains. There was a light fruitiness in the smell as well as hints of biscuits.

Wonderful flavors of bright, spicy nobel hops. There is enough malts to bring some balance. Crisp grassy finish. Husky. What I love in a German Pilsner.

The body had a nice scrubbing carbonation. Medium in density and very drinkable. I wish I had access to this one regularly.
