Served in a brown bottle with a red and blue label, with what looks to be a horned norse god on the front, poured into a pint glass.
A- Dark body, chocolatey, with a very beige thick foamy frothy head.
S- Once again, a very chocolately aroma, with a very strong presence of all sorts of hops. Some fruit, like black cherries and plums.
T- Hops and malts mix well together to give this a very good taste that easily hides any trace that there is 8.2% alcohol in this wonderful beer. As the beer warms up, it loses a lot of flavor, but is best when it halfway done.
M- A creamy smooth finish that was bitter on the tip of the tongue but not for long. Extremely smooth.
D- After 3 of them, i started to get full, and a little bit of a headache. I don't know if it had anything to do with the Phillies going back and forth with the Giants all night, but I only drank the 3. I think I could have finished 6 to myself, but I would probably end up pretty reckless. Needless to say, you can definitely drink a lot of these.
