22oz bomber poured into a Dogfish Head snifter
A - pours dark ruby red, minimal head, sticks to the side of the glass as I swirl it
S - smells sweet somehow... definite aroma of hops, mixed with raising
T - initial burst of sweet candy flavors that quickly subsides to a grassy bitterness. Hop flavor is pronounced, bitterness lingers, perhaps a little too long. The malt backbone doesn't quite come forward enough
M - syrupy, with a refreshing fizz from the carbonation
D - a little to bitter to be really drinkable, but the alcohol is very well hidden.
Overall, pretty good - I was expecting more malty sweetness based on the smell. I'll let my other bottle age a few months to see if the bitter flavors subside
