22 oz. bomber served in a Founders snifter. Thanks to MarkIntihar for this bottle.
A: Pours a very dark ruby with brown and purple highlights intertwined throughout. A 1.5 finger, light khaki head forms on the pour with very good retention. Plains of lace are left down the glass.
S: Candied sugars, some burnt caramel, leather and a little booze all mend together well. There is a slight grassy hop presence as well.
T: Caramel and toffee sweetness with a leathery earthiness are present in the forefront. This melds to a slight vanilla richness in the middle and there is a bitter and grassy hop finish.
M: Medium bodied with a heavy coating quality and some warming booze on the finish. The grassy hops stick around long after the sip is done.
O: This was a pretty decent barelywine. A little too hoppy on the finish, but still some great caramel and vanilla notes.
