Poured into my pint glass. Two and a half finger head on a clear, deep amber body. Lots of lacing left in the glass.
Aroma was complex and multi-layered. Citrus hops and floral notes, then a little bit herbal, then sweet caramel, toffee, and honey followed. More came out the more I smelled it.
Taste started with bittering hops. Then caramel, a slight sweetness, and hints of dark fruits. Not overpowering at all. Richer malts came through at the finish. Alcohol was noticeable, but not out of balance. Bitterness faded quickly at the finish.
Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy. Carbonation is there, but restrained. Very good.
Drinkability is good... for something this ABV. Glad it comes in a bomber, but one was enough.
