Appearance is ruby brown with a very thick, tan heand and nice lacing.
Nose is a lot of caramel malt, winter spice, piney hops, and grapefruit.
Taste is initially very smooth and buttery. The malts are rich, very similar to a Trippel. The hops are full and candied like an Imperial IPA. There are notes of dark cherry, complex dark chocolate, oak, and pine. Crusty bread finish.
Mouthfeel is smooth with a good amount of carbonation. Almost chewy from the bread.
Overall, I wouldn't equate it to Nugget Nectar as Troegs suggests. The malt is the main star here. It is thick, chewy, and has plenty of flavor.
