2012 bottle poured into a tulip glass.
Beautiful, deep amber color with ruby highlights. I got a finger of fluffy, white head. Surprising for the style, and it left some really nice lacing.
The smell is quite a nice mix of caramel and citrus. Wheat bread, with just a hint of sweetness coming from subtle raisin.
I can tell that the hops have fallen off a bit, but they're still very much present. Bitter citrus and pine are interestingly layered over a deep malty base. Well done, I'd like to try this in a vertical tasting someday. The mouthfeel is spot on as well. Thick and coating, but with a decent amount of carbonation to compliment the hops.
An interesting take on the style from what is quickly becoming one of my favorite breweries. Looking forward to trying this again.
