Coffee black with a tan head. Very nice lacing. Great look.

Floral and piney aromas from fresh hops and sturdy black coffee. Sweet, but with bright complementing hops and roast bitterness. Hints of raisin and licorice. Almost smells like a coffee black IPA.

Very hoppy and decently bitter. Robust malts and black coffee balance out wily floral hops. Backdrop stout-y flavors release flavors of cocoa nibs and burnt cereal. Finishes with citrus notes and lingering hoppiness. Such bright contrasting flavors.

Feels alright. Feels bright in the mouth. Loose and low carbonation. Medium to medium-light body. Not difficult to gulp.

I love the brash hoppiness versus the sweeter coffee notes. An experiment gone right. Excellently different. Unique and easy to revisit.

Surprised to see this beer only rated around the 80's overall. It's a great beer for any stout and/or coffee lovers, what really caught me off guard is finding a realization that this beer is in fact a oatmeal stout. This beer is great and taste up to its expectations. Great taste and balance of mostly semi-sweet chocolate and coffee with a nice vibe with it's bold 7.5% ABV. Mixture of sweet and bitterness with a spiky but smooth mouth-feel. I recently got a six pack from my local beverage store and it did not disappoint especially the fact of it's moderate cost. Definitely worth every penny, will be buying again soon!

12oz bottle served in a Prairie Teku
Thanks to Yoshi Optimator for this one.

A - Dark brown body with dense mocha head leaving specks of lacing.

S - Cold coffee, chocolate, raisins, molasses, roasted.charred caramel.

T - Nice cold roasted coffee presence, charred caramel and molasses malts, chocolate covered raisin. A strong core of dark bready malt, creamy and decadent. Finishes with strong malts, raisins, and fading coffee.

M - Full bodied, thick, creamy and viscous body, low carbonation.

Good coffee presence with a stout and creamy body. The raisin/plum plays well and adds a creative layer. Nice creamy texture, this went down very smooth.
