A: Pours a golden amber color that is a bit hazy, with an ivory colored head, that was deliciously frothy, but didn't stick around too long. Sticky lacing cakes the walls of my nonic glass, looks great!
S: I detect some pine, with a quick burst of juicy citrus, before I pick up a bready malt backbone.
T: Pleasant. Not too overpowering in the hop department. I initially get some pine, but also some flowery hops. There is a nice malt backbone here, just as the nose suggested, but that is eventually overtaken by a tart citrus finish.
M: The carbonation is a bit lower than I would like, but there is some prickliness there though. It's a lighter bodied ale, but still leaves a decent amount of hop resin behind.
D: This is a good beer. It's abv is of session quality and it has a nice flavor for an amber ale, without being too agressive. That being said, I still prefer it's bigger brother (NN).
