22 oz bottle poured into a DFH snifter.
Pours a cloudy orange color with two fingers of foam that sticks around for a while and coats the glass as it recedes. Aroma is bitter/hoppy, with an almost spicy cinnamon hint to it.
First sip is pretty vanilla (not flavor). Relatively thin bodied, minimal sweetness, and long lingering bitterness. But the flavor portion seems to be lacking a bit, there is nothing that is really exciting my taste buds here. The thin body is a minus for me.
It does not live up to the amazing appearance.
They are calling this an Imperial Pale Ale, so I guess it kinda meets that description. But it is not something that I'd buy again. Very disappointed - I usually love Troeg's offerings.

Had on draft at Vin 909
A-Pours a golden yellow-orange with medium small white head. Nice spotty lacing.
S-Aroma grassy and citrus hops and a bit of malt.
T-Flavor herbal and piney hops, moderately bitter, bit of malt sweetness.
M-Mouthfeel is well balanced and carbonated.
O-Overall a very decent IPA goes down well.
