Had on-tap at a bowling alley. Reviewing from brief notes.
A: Slightly hazy golden amber with a thick, creamy head. Great retention and tons of lacing down the glass.
S: Grapefruit, light notes of pineapple and orange peel. Slightly floral. Malty character underneath.
T: Fresh grapefruit, herbal hops, excellent rush of bitterness rounded off by a generous amount of malt that isn't overly sweet, but provides balance.
M: Above average mouthfeel. Medium-full body with crisp carbonation. Extremely smooth, tad bit creamy. Superbly easy to drink, especially for a brew sitting at 7.5% ABV.
O: Troegs rarely disappoints. Perpetual IPA , I think, is towards the top of the list of great Troegs brews. Well-balanced, fresh flavors combined with a wonderful mouth feel made for an easy-drinking, satisfying IPA that can be enjoyed on a night out or a night in. I'd have no second thoughts about recommending this.

Pours crystal clear and very pale gold with medium to small head. Nice lacing. Smell is big lemon and grapefruit citrus hops. Taste is much the same as the smell up front and through the finish. Very rarely have I had a beer so consistent from the smell through the finish. And in this case it's consistently citrus hops. Actually though it ends up being a bit one-note, even if that note is good. Full bodied. Fairly drinkable and a really solid IPA throughout.

I had the Perpetual IPA on tap at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh.
It was served in a pilsner style glass; the beer is deep gold with slight chill haze. It has a sticky off white head and lace.
It has an aroma of pine sap and something sweet like a slow poke
The taste is a nice mix of pine and citrus. Lots of caramel malts and a bit of something like taste of honey candy bar
The mouth is coating and slick
I like how this one is put together. My first beer from this venerable brewer & I look forward to having more.
