Lightly hazy blonde colour, ring of white head with very little lace hanging around. Smell is really well hopped, pine with some earthy lemony citrus, and bit of fruitiness, a mild underlying mat and a bit of faint alcohol detected as well. Taste is also quite hoppy, citrus, orange and lemon, some pine, malty towards the finish, assertive bitterness throughout, more hops in the aftertaste. Light prickly drying carbonation, some hop oils and medium bodied. Really enjoyable IPA that drinks really quickly, something I would order again, solid stuff.

Pours crystal clear and very pale gold with medium to small head. Nice lacing. Smell is big lemon and grapefruit citrus hops. Taste is much the same as the smell up front and through the finish. Very rarely have I had a beer so consistent from the smell through the finish. And in this case it's consistently citrus hops. Actually though it ends up being a bit one-note, even if that note is good. Full bodied. Fairly drinkable and a really solid IPA throughout.

I had the Perpetual IPA on tap at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh.

It was served in a pilsner style glass; the beer is deep gold with slight chill haze. It has a sticky off white head and lace.

It has an aroma of pine sap and something sweet like a slow poke

The taste is a nice mix of pine and citrus. Lots of caramel malts and a bit of something like taste of honey candy bar

The mouth is coating and slick

I like how this one is put together. My first beer from this venerable brewer & I look forward to having more.
