from 22oz, part of blind bif 6, thanks to hophead101
A: almost crystal clear straw yellow, one finge rof foamy head that is slow to fade. 4
S: floral and fruity hops, lemon, tangerine, peach, citrus, lavender, a bit of pine as it warms up. i love the smell but wish it were more robust and in-your-face. a second pour after letting it warm doesn't bring out any more than the original. Sigh. it could have been a five. 4
T: hop bitterness to start, grapefruit and pine, deep bitterness that barely subsides to slightly bready malt. lingering hops on the tongue but not much else. 3.5
M: light bodied, the smallest amount of slickness on the tongue, finely carbed, almost to the point of astringent. 3
O: decent ipa, but also a bit one dimensional. I would have preferred stronger aromas to match the bitter-heavy taste. 3.5

Pours crystal clear and very pale gold with medium to small head. Nice lacing. Smell is big lemon and grapefruit citrus hops. Taste is much the same as the smell up front and through the finish. Very rarely have I had a beer so consistent from the smell through the finish. And in this case it's consistently citrus hops. Actually though it ends up being a bit one-note, even if that note is good. Full bodied. Fairly drinkable and a really solid IPA throughout.

I had the Perpetual IPA on tap at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh.
It was served in a pilsner style glass; the beer is deep gold with slight chill haze. It has a sticky off white head and lace.
It has an aroma of pine sap and something sweet like a slow poke
The taste is a nice mix of pine and citrus. Lots of caramel malts and a bit of something like taste of honey candy bar
The mouth is coating and slick
I like how this one is put together. My first beer from this venerable brewer & I look forward to having more.
