Poured from a growler that was filled at the Hopshop Beer Market in State College, PA. Served in a tulip glass.
A- Pretty underwhelmed by the look of this. Pours a translucent gold body with 3/4" white head that recedes to a thin cap of foam.
S- Outstanding citrus notes. Smells quite sweet.
T- The taste almost seems perfect at first, but I quickly realized that it was lacking. Simply put, it tastes like a world-class IPA that is watered down. All the flavors are there, but they're not bold at all. It's not very bitter, but it's very well-balanced.
M- Medium mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation for the style.
O- Overall, this beer is quite good if you want to have multiples. For a one serving hop-monster that rapes your palate with citrus, pine, and bitterness, I would look elsewhere.
Serving type: growler
