On draught at The Green Onion Pub in Utica, NY. Poured in a Saranac pint glass.

A - Light orange/copper/amber body. Quite clear with tons of rising bubbles. One finger white head that wasn't going anywhere.

S - Super citrusy. I swear, I can almost smell it while the bartender is pouring. Piney hops with zesty, citrus notes. Mostly grapefruit, oranges and pineapple.

T - Slight caramel malts and sticky citrus hops. The finish is bitter with some lingering pine and grassiness. Not as smooth on the finish.

M- Mouth feel is creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Dry pretty much the whole way through.

O - Pretty damn tasty IPA. Very grapefruit heavy with some nice pine and grassiness. Troeg's has crafted yet another winner.

Perpetual IPA pours a really nice, slightly hazy gold. It pours with a perfect creamy white head that sticks and holds very well.

The nose is pleasantly dominated by hops, pine and citrus, mostly. There's a slight caramel malt backbone, but it's really about the hops here.

The taste is more balanced than the aroma. A nice citrus hop flavor works with a bready malt body for a nice, smooth drink that finishes with a blast of bitter hops. There's a decent alcohol presence, but it's not overwhelming.

As far as mouthfeel goes, it's a medium-bodied beer that finishes pretty dry and bitter.

Overall, this is a really nice beer. Hop-forward but not overly so.

Great summer IPA. Nice clear pale yellow to straw in color, with white head that dissipated rather quickly. Smell is a bit lacking. Faintly watery, the hops smells good, but not quite as present as I'd like. Taste is wonderful though. What this beer lacks in aroma, it quickly makes up for in taste. Superbly grassy and a wonderful floral hoppiness to it. I get some apricot and a sweetness that I can only describe as when you chew on Dallisgrass on a hot day.

Thank you, jbravato! Kept this in the fridge for a while to slow down its aging process. Poured into a tulip glass from a 12oz bottle. Freshness date is listed at the side of the bottle's neck as "04/30/13."

Pours a golden amber color with a generous amount of carbonation. There's about 1.5 fingers worth of head that coat the top, but it quickly dissipates to a firm ring. The nucleation point in the glass is actually spewing more bubbles upwards than expected, which definitely enhances the beer's appearance. Lacing is pretty good all around, and overall, it presents itself as a slightly viscous, resinous DIPA.

The aroma is surprisingly light, containing light notes of citrus rinds, grapefruit, pine, and lots of honey underneath. Maybe a little bit of butterscotch, too, which in this situation works well. Nothing too dank going on overall... But definitely a bright citrus hoppy aroma perseveres. There's a kiss of graininess, and a faded sugary malty presence, but it's pretty uneventful. The booze is a bit too much at the finish. Could strive more balance than this, or at least be slightly more vibrant.

The flavor is about even in terms of displaying the light citrus/pine combo, but holy hell is this coated in honey and butterscotch, almost to the point of being sweetly textured and syrupy like the condiments themselves. There's a bit of lemon and grapefruit, maybe (?), but it's quickly replaced by the honey in a treacly, resinous manner. Slightly soapy, but nothing too distracting. The malts are well integrated, and indeed a bit creamy, but they themselves are rather bland. Not to dry or astringent at the finish, and goes down well with the extra carbonation and maltiness. However, where it becomes easy to drink, it simultaneously lacks balance AND complexity, and makes me wonder what the hell I'm sipping on after each gulp.

A confusing DIPA, to say the very least, but at least it's not difficult to drink or anything. It's so creamy it's almost like air! The honey/butterscotch combo, while not exceptional, is quite nice, but all of the hoppy aspects faded out somehow. Nothing feels muted or old... Only bland. Bizarre. I suppose it would do okay on a warm day, but I'd rather take a kölsch or pilsner at that point, as it has less ABV and a far more grassy/fruity texture than this.

Bright, golden orange. Fizzy, white head becomes a thin cap. Sticky patches of lacing.

For some reason, I was expecting this to be more pine forward in the nose. Pleasantly surprised by the juicy, tropical notes of pineapple and grapefruit. Underlying floral notes keep me diving back in.

Very well balanced. The combination of floral hops, pineapple, and grapefruit rind mix well with a caramel malt sweetness. Light-bodied with great carbonation. Very mild filmy aftertaste.

Very good, and easy to drink. Would try again.

A - Pours a bright clear gold with a nice finger and a half of near white head, fantastic retention and lacing!

S - Light floral hops with a nice malty sweet backbone. Light juicy citrus notes

T - Very tasty dry resinous bitterness that doesnt linger too powerfully. Transitions into a slightly juicy cirtrus rind flavor with a nice underlying caramel malt sweetness. Aftertaste is a tame amount of each of these flavors, slightly dry.

M - Lighter bodied, appropriate for the style, carbonation is appropriate too. Very drinkable

O - Fantastic balance very tasty yet refreshing beer. Perfect choice for a refreshing yet flavorful brew.
