Catching up on my reviews.
A - Pitch black body that had a creamy, mocha colored head...the head was two fingers tall and slowly fell to a thin cap...some lacing was left behind
S - The nose had a lot going on...a huge roasty presence with dark chocolate and coffee grounds leading the way...there was a touch of sweetness with some vanilla...a big citrus hop presence pokes through as well
T - It takes a while for everything to come together...this one needed to warm up...the dark chocolate and coffee really stand out...they give off a bitterness that pairs with that big dose of hops...the roasted malt flavor adds depth and a strong backbone to the beer...just a touch of sweetness from some vanilla, would have liked a little more...the alcohol is hot at the end and brings a lot of warmth
M - Full bodied...thick and creamy...big roast with some bitterness...alcohol heat
O - As I said, this one needed time to warm up...I enjoyed everything going on, but the alcohol level gets in the way...I wish I would have picked up some bottles because this one will get better with age

12oz bottle into tulip. Thanks Josh!
A: Pours black and viscous with a dense finger of mocha colored head that slowly faded into a faint collar.
S: Huge and rich notes of deep dark malt, dark chocolate, sweet fudge brownie, leather, and maybe a hint of dark fruit. Very rich smelling but there is not a trace of alcohol to be found.
T: Follows the nose with potent flavors of lightly bitter dark chocolate, sweet fudge, deep roasted malt, and dark leather. I get notes of blackberry and dark fruits in the finish, and the aftertaste is full of lingering chocolate and roast.
M: Huge full body, viscous and extremely chewy mouthfeel, and very airy and frothy carbonation that bubbles up in my mouth after each sip. No trace of alcohol burn, almost no bitterness. Very smooth and decadent.
O: I was pleasantly surprised by how good this one was. Nothing the most complex stout, but it doesn’t have anything off putting to me. I never had it fresh, but after couple years in the bottle this is drinking perfectly. Thanks again StormKing47.

A dark tan head rests calm and thick across this black and brown brew.
Aroma is rich with milk chocolate, caramel, plum and raisin. Got mincemeat? Yes.
Tastes dry and woody up front. Its syrupy with the caramel finding place after a few sips. Some cardamom, dark fruit and licorice find their way. Can be astringent at times.
Heavy for sure, but warming all the way through makes for a nice sipper on a cool spring eve.
