First had: on tap at Monk's, Philly, PA
Hazy golden-yellow color with a small but firm white head that retained well and left spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted grains, oak, tequila, distant grassy must. Taste was pretty similar, with a lot of the tequila and oak barrel flavors coming out, stiff and dry, toasted cereal grains and a bit of dry hay, but nothing that really jumped out at me and said, "hi, I'm a saison." Not sure what the ABV was on this, but it wasn't very boozy, maybe clocking in around 7% or so? I'd be surprised if it was much more than that. Medium body. Drinkable, enjoyable, but nothing that I really feel the need to try again.
Serving type: on-tap
