A true Helles style, our lager is golden in color with a pleasant, malty aroma balanced by a rich, smooth flavor. Using only the finest Bavarian malts and finished with Saaz hops, one sip will make you feel like you're in one of Germany's finest beer gardens.

22 oz. bottle courtesy of UnionMade, big up.
Appearance: Big pillowy off-white head sat atop a beautifully clear, tiny bubble laden, golden lager splashed with just a touch of amber.
Smell: Sour apples, pale malts and a faint bits of floral hops and lime. Very German, authentic aromas. Maybe the best smelling lager ever. I wanted to dive right into the glass.
Taste/Mouthfeel/Drinkability: All at once, crisp sour apples and a touch of spice wrapped in sweet malt, followed by a very mild bitterness and then a sweet malty finish. Very carbonated, light to medium bodied but amazingly smooth and creamy. Taste was extremely fresh, clean and invigorating. Easily the best lager I've had to date. This is easily something worth stocking up on for frequent enjoyment. Must be nice to live in CT. Great, great stuff. Thanks again to UnionMade for the opportunity.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation along with a few specks of particles floating in suspension. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving some lacing on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of bready hops and fruity esters are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of fruity esters along with notes of bready and biscuit malts. Hints of malty sweetness are perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The fruity ester aromas and flavors in this beer seem to be "off" for the style and something you would expect to find in an English Pale Ale.

Won't bother with all the fancy beer snob adjectives. Simply put, Hooker Munich-Style Lager, on tap at a bar in Blueback Square, West Hartford, is the best tasting beer I have ever experienced. I have had it out of the bottle as well and while it was still very good, I was a little dissapointed by it compared to the on tap ones I had.
