Drank on June 20, 2011. Served at fridge temp into a tulip glass.
A: Deep copper orange with a quickly dissapating head, descent lacing.
S: Orange rind, sweet grapfruit and pinapple. There's some toasted, grainy pale malt and a little bit of brown sugar as well.
T: Toasted malt up front followed by a mellow grapfruit and orange zest. The finish is clean with a little burst of orange. Not too much going on here as far as complexity goes but its very solid.
M: Creamy and full. Great carbonation as well. Hop Meadow has a really great mouthfeel but its not as crisp as most IPA's, so it wouldn't be my first choice on a hot summer day. Descent bitterness but nothing overpowering.
O: With not too much bitterness or alcohol this is a fantastic session beer. Its a really solid choice. I could definitely consider this a gate-way beer for anyone new to craft beer.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellowish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head that died down rather quickly, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of floral and citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of orange citrus along with hints of caramel malts and floral hops along with a very slight amount of bitterness. Some hints of watermelon are also perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I felt that this beer seemed to be somewhat weak for an IPA because it didn't deliver much in the way of bitterness from the hops. Apart from this, it is quite balanced and easy to drink.
