A rich, malty brew that uses red wheat and a variety of crystal malts, giving this beer its ruby red hue. Traditional English hops give this easy drinking brew a flavor that's perfect year round.

Pours a super clear red/auburn color. A nice almost tan head fades to a film and laces nicely.
Nice caramel aroma with what seem to be Brittish hops in the mix.
Lots of caramel and lots of pungent hops. They don't quite balance out. The pungent hop bitterness lingers.
Medium bodied and well carbonated. That bitterness, though it's not to overwhellming, really hangs on.
Okay beer, but I think it's hop profile isn't really to my liking.
Thanks to far333 for the opportunity to try this one.

Had at Friend's & Company in Guilford, CT. Pours amber and there is a lot of caramel and malt sweetness going on. A touch of herbal bitterness in the back-end keeps it all together. Easy to drink but very forgettable.

A very drinkable malty brew but not Hooker's best; compare with their Oktoberfest which is top-shelf.

Very drinkable. Malty, caramel, happiness just right. Had a few, could have easily had a few more!

Reddish-copper in color. Hearty in body and toasty in flavor. The maltiness is the heart of this offering.
This is a good old session beer that can blend well with any food; in the case of this tasting, I paired this beer with some hot wings.
