I would say it’s “unique”. Belgian yes but also the red rice does something. Pretty tasty and different.

11.2oz bottle coded RR.22.03a poured into a tulip glass at fridge temp 7% ABV. The beer pours mostly bright reddish amber with khaki colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Minimal lacing. The aroma is mild with a sweet, grainy note (possibly red rice?) and a hint of stone fruit. The taste is semisweet fruity malt with an odd, grainy, tangy note. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, unique. There's something about the aroma and flavor of this beer that I've never experienced before. Not bad, just very different.

Had in a bottle at Akihabara poured into a belgian 12oz tulip

On the pour a pure white 1 finger head with fine and fizzy bubbles forms then over a couple minutes fades to a ring around the glass. Body is a hazy dark amber.

Aroma is clean but Belgian at the same time a caramel maltnis present with some light spicy notes but also a very inviting crisp note. Slight toffee aroma.

Taste follows the aroma and is very clean and drinkable with a nutty caramel that comes through with a bit of spicy belgian yeast notes coming through. It's honestly hard to believe this is 7% abv by taste alone this seems more like a 5% beer.

Feel is light and drying with a mouthcoating maltiness and long finish, but also a very refreshing overall feel. Super drinkable and almost dangerous.

Overall this is very tasty, and sort of seems like a belgian take on an American red ale, but this beer is Japanese and the rice in tit makes it super drinkable to the point I'm not ever sure of this is 7% abv haha.

Pours almost burgundy with and off white head. Nose is clean, faint cherries if anything other than malt. Taste is heavy stone fruit/cherry, and sweet, almost like cherry candy or a cherry cream soda. Very enjoyable.

Pros: Very drinkable, a respectable ABV, and the owl logo is honestly pretty cute.
Cons: Costs ~$6 a bottle.

Overall takeaway: Definitely better and more sophisticated taste-wise than your average beer, all without sacrificing on drink-ability. I do wish it was less expensive.

Pours a very pretty pinkish orangey colour with a long lasting, bright white head.

Smell is malt, some fruit and a creamy, metallic note that is presumably the rice.

Taste is malty, some obvious alcohol, some rather indefinable fruitiness (I see someone wrote tangerine and that's pretty close) and the same metallic creaminess from the rice.

Mouthfeel is smooth, rounded and well balanced. There's a lingering alcohol warmth after the swallow too.

This is a nice, refreshing beer. At 7% it's dangerously drinkable and is definitely compelling enough to have you innocently reaching for more, unaware of the price you might pay later!

Cheers!

Nice amber color, a little hazy, with a white head. Nose has some caramel and a nice tangerine note.

The taste has a heaping helping of tangerine and a nice caramel flavor at the back of the palate for balance. Mouthfeel is medium and nicely carbed.

This is an easy drinking, flavorful beer that hides the 7% ABV really well. A pleasure to drink.

From a bottle. Cloudy copper color with a thin layer of bubbles. Smells of rice and straw. Medium body with prickly carbonation. Tastes of roasted malt and caramel with some dried cherry notes. Some lingering warmth on the finish. Very interesting. The red rice brings some unique flavors.
