What a cool place. Stopped by for lunch before hitting a movie to kill time before a Saison/Sour tasting at Holiday Wine Cellar.
An old English/Irish pub style, with a few pool tables, dusty wooden floors, just a cool vibe. Bet it gets hoppin at night.
We both ordered Trumer Pils to start. The menu was eclectic, focusing more on Irish fare. I ordered the veggie potstickers and Tm ordered the Scotch Egg. Something he's always wanted to try.
Food is pretty good.
We ordered a few more beers, can't remember what they were though. But I know that they were good. The bottle menu is awesome, they offer some great local stuff on draft. Solid beer selection for sure.
I ordered the corned beef sandwhich and Tim had the cottage pie. Food is solid as well. Tastey. A few more beers with the food, took half of it to go in the cooler for late night munchies.
Our server was a nice guy, attentive and I think he was covering the bar as well as the few of us that were at tables.
Definitely would go back. In fact got invited to go with a couple of people that we met at the tasting that night, but passed as we had to drive back to the hotel in San Diego.

Decided to stop in after Lost Abbey since it was pretty close by, have always heard great things about this place so I was pretty psyched to check it out. It definitely has the english pub feel but with a more modern take. Atmosphere was solid. Lots of people all over the place enjoying themselves. Guys beside us were enjoying the USA hockey game from two days before, apparently oblivious to that fact. Quality was great. Food and beer were top notch and the furnishings were more than adequate, loved the dedicated darts area as most places don't leave you enough room. Service was fine. I didn't have to wait for a beer and our food came out quickly. Selection was awesome. Only a handful of the 50 or so taps were kicked and they had plenty of local offerings which is always nice to see. I totally forgot to look at the bottle list, wish I could go back and check it out. As far as food goes, we weren't super hungry so we just got an order of their loaded fries which were quite good. Prices were a bit high on certain items but nothing over the top. Overall an awesome pub, I would definitely be a regular here if I lived in the area.
