This one looked more like an amber, and not a brown. It sure did taste like a brown. Easily this brewery's best brew. Would like to find it bottles so I could have some to take home.

One of the better American brown ales I've had.
Nice biscuity malt, a little nutty, hint of caramel, good bitterness, nice citrus from the PNW hops, leaves a nice lace, great stuff.
Some great northwest flavour & bitterness, but it's restrained, not at all overboard.

La Conner's English brown is a nice toffee brown with just a light caramel and spice aroma. An interesting roasted malt and spicey hop mix together well. Very mellow and subdued smoothness. This is a pretty easy drinking brown ale with a fairly intesting taste.

A lighter coloured brown ale than most this is a nice drinking brown with the requisite roasty notes though on the smoother side. Food friendly especially with the great wood fired pizzas, this is a solid offering from these guys. If you want a more robust roasted malt experience then go with the porter.

Here is an unusual treat--this is nearly a dessert beer. If you like the flavor of caramel, this is the best example of that flavor I've ever had. I also know that this is unusual for this style.
A-Dark brown, light does not pass through. Decent head and lace
S-Remember those chocolate caramels. Well, here it is without the chocolate.
T-Very sweet, little hop, off style but still delicious
M-Rich, thick as expected
D-This one would be a hard one to consume regularly. But for a unique treat, go for it.

Starts with subdued carbonation that forms erratic lace, and a modest malty aroma that is beach-sand dry. Features a honey-brown color with a round, inviting mouthfeel. The taste is of modest yet balanced proportions with a customary bitter finish. There is nothing exemplary here no great standout properties with the possible exception of the mouthfeel. But this is a relaxed and enjoyable brew that is very easy to drink. I would describe it as a very comfortable beer worth trying. It might even grow on you.

Appearance Brown in color with lots of carbonation and a smallish head.
Smell Light, nutty brown scents set deep in a toasted malt aroma.
Taste This one is very different. The nuts are here in force along with a rather bitter malt base. There are some hops to this one as well, but they dont mix well. The finish is slightly sweet and sugary.
Mouthfeel This is a solid medium in the body and a bit refreshing.
Drinkability I thought that the flavors were interesting but unbalanced. LaConner has a lot of fine ales, but I think next time Ill get something else.
