Sampled from a growler that was sealed at dated from Marco's Beverage in New Windsor, NY
Appearance: Deep, reddish brown, Much darker than most pale ales. Big, spongy head with great lacing.
Smell: Wonderful, citrusy, floral hops smell. However, the smell is slightly muted and not near as big as I expected. There is also a more stated roasted, caramel malt nose than with most.
Taste: Sweet, roasted, caramel malts quickly followed by citrusy, piney hops. Good, dry hop finish. Wonderfully tasty and hoppy with a solid malt balance. This reminds me of a smaller version of the DFH 90 min, not as much hops or malt, but an amazing balance of the two that pair together, but seem to remain separate as well.
Mouthfeel: Sweet, sticky, hop tingling good.
Drinkability: Wonderful, I wish I had more of this at home. I hope my batch of homebrew comes out this good.
Serving type: growler
