Nice looking beer. Real clear golden color, maybe a finger of creamy looking head that disappears pretty quickly. Beautiful lacing, rings all the way down.

A very American hop profile in the nose, this doesn't smell like a British IPA, and indeed the bottle says it's got Wllamette, Chinook, and Cascade hops. I get a very fruity, floral aroma. Strawberries, tangerines, and some good clean hop resin smell. Pretty nice.

Very nice malt background, I like the Maris Otter they used. It's got a slightly sweet, grainy kind of taste like brioche. The hops are pretty basic but nicely balanced and definitely dominate the beer. Grapefruit and pine are the forward flavors, with some earthy and floral notes in back. Bitterness sticks around in the back of the mouth for a little afterwards.

Great mouthfeel. Light and creamy at the same time. Just a little oily around the edges and a dry powdery finish. Spot on for an IPA of this size.

Very good American style IPA from an Englsih Brewery. Pretty prototypical though, this could be the standard IPA at any random Brewery in the states.

Appearance: Light golden amber colour, lively carbonation.

Smell: Floral hop aroma, Orange and citrus. Very nice. More American hop aroma than you would expect from a English IPA.

Taste: Good malt flavour, citrus just as you would expect from the smell. Long bitter finish that is expected from this style.

Mouthfeel: Medium body and carbonation.

Overall: Very nice IPA, nice balance of US and UK styles. Could see it be very enjoyable in the summer months.

Drank from my Duvel pilsner glass

A - Pours a golden amber colour with a nice white creamy head that retains well.

S - Nice hoppy aroma with a little grain and malt.

T - Nice hops up with caramel malt balance. Predominant flavours of grapefruit and citrus.

M - Medium body and low carbonation.

O - A better than average EIPA has some nice hoppy notes.

This golden beauty displays a lovely bouquet even out of the bottle, with an admirable coalescence of caramel malt, peaches and lemon balm aromatics.

At the mouth, the beer is crisp, angular, modestly bittered - but at the same time splendidly balanced with the sweetness - and carrier of woodish, mossy, minty, piney like notes in play with the obligatory grapefruit notes and bubblegum center.

It's a polished, extremely competent IPA that wears the typical American aromatics but is still very British in it's temperance and elegance. A proper job indeed.

This is one of those beers you must try,and it's worth of waiting it.

A - Honey orange color, usual for IPA-s. One finger white foam, lasting few seconds.
S - Lots of elder spice in it,hops and honey.
T/M - Good balanced bitterness,elder,bitter aftertaste,sweet malt. Some spices.

O - Do not drink it to much cold, you will pass all the good aromas in it. School example of IPA.

Perfect pale gold colour with clean white head. 4.5% not 5.5% (apparently difference is between cask 4.5% and bottle 5.5%). Fruity and floral on the nose almost grassy scents. True traditional IPA 'hoppyness' lingering in the foam. Pint served first at "The Old Customs House", Padstow Cornwall after a strong recommendation by the barman 'Duncan' (sorry for not filling out your survey, I hope this counts for something.) Free sample given with commentary. Later enjoyed at "The Shipwrights Inn", Padstow, Cornwall to the same standard and have one to take home in a bottle along with "Tribute" and "Trelawny", looking forward to a return to cornwall, will certainly be stopping to find this ale again!
