Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
February 19, 2014
The beer pours a translucent orange red colour with a half inch thick tan coloured head, and very little effervescence. The aroma is tropical fruit/papaya and caramel. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with below average carbonation. Flavour is papaya/pineapple and some grains with a hint of caramel. I was expecting more tropical juiciness, which may have been a reach for a macro brewer

Blonde in color, a little cloudy with a really small white head and some carbonation. Bready smell, some malt and yeast but I don't get the fruity smell others have found. Tastes more fruity than what I smelled, still some bread notes, a little spices (peppery mostly) is there too and an aftertaste of hard water. A little bit bitter but not enough to be an IPA.

Alexander Keith's Galaxy Hop Ale
The look of it: Amber with 1 finger of head with medium carbonation
The smell of it; Very surprised. Some orange and some peach comes to my nose. Very fruity smell. Really did enjoy the smell.
The taste of it: A bit disappointed compared to the smell but still much better than the cascade. You still have that orange and that peach taste like the smell. I really did enjoy that beer.
So overall would I recommend it ? For sure, this is a well made beer, much better than the Alexander Keith Cascade.

Nothing to get too excited about, but not a bad ale from a commercial brewery.

i go up to montreal at least four times a year to visit family and friends and keith's is always my go to beer up there. Obviously not craft by any means but for drinkability and a nostalgia taste for me its the best!

Date code is G11H410055 which means it was canned July 11, 2014.
Light orange hazy body. Full head rests at 2 fingers. Tropical fruit in the nose but sadly this does not carry through in the flavor as a malty cardboard taste is present. I do catch glimpses of tropical fruit but it`s a fail for me though it`s miles better than their ``IPA``.
