A- Pours a very clear golden, leaning to coppery color, and comes with plenty of bristly looking carbonation. The head is decent....patchy egg white colored and textured foam over the brew with some spots that are thinner and more big bubbly looking. Lacing doesn't exactly follow, as the thin wisps of soapy bubbles quickly slide back into the liquid, never to be seen again! After a couple of minutes I notice the carbonation settles down to a slower, finer pace....

S- I notice much more malt sweetness than the Hallertauer hop variety initially....caramel and/or toffee seems to be the dominant aroma happening. I also smell notes yeast and vanilla in the background, which in itself smells quite good, but its different than what the style would suggest and what I was expecting. The finish does have the hop bitterness but it's definitely not as strong or of the distinct character this variety usually brings in a Pilsener or similar...

T- Ahhh, now the hop character shows itself in flavor immediately, but again, it isn't nearly as powerful or distinct as I thought it would be....still very noticeable though. Balancing sweetness shows up on the palate too, with aforementioned notes of caramel and a hint of vanilla tasted....its actually quite malty! The finish is mostly hop bitterness which lingers on the palate during the break in between drinks.

M- This is a thin bodied beer with a touch of oiliness on my palate....perhaps this does lean a couple of points towards medium body but it's slight. The carbonation, as I thought on appearance, really does smooth out and it helps to bring out the overall flavor scheme. The malt sweetness and milder than expected bitterness actually provides for a refreshing mouthfeel!

O- I think this is very decent beer, even though I feel it could have been slightly better overall....would I buy this again....yes I would! It's not going to offend anyone, as it is balanced enough and perhaps would be a great starter for somebody looking to get into the APA style. The slightly higher than average 5.4% alc/vol is not noticed at all and it makes for a very nice summer refresher! I recommend giving this a try!

Poured from a stray bottle in a buddy's fridge into a shaker pint glass, an amber color just grading into dark gold with a little white head. Aroma is minimal, grainy and grassy with a low key hay-like hop note. Palate is similarly grassy but with an odd burnt popcorn and straw taste, with very faint cinnamon and licorice perhaps, but the flavor largely driven by this strange singed malt and hay note. Thin bodied and maximally carbonated, as expected for this brewery. Not a great brew but more interesting than Keith's proper and I suppose some of the expected mellow Hallertau flavor is there. Still has an unsavory macro-brewed blandness about it.

A: Orange copper, very little carbonation 4 fingers of beige head, clear filtered.

S: Malty, skunk, spicy, black pepper, slight candied orange.

T: Malt, orange candy, lemon balm, clean linen, light bitterness, slight black pepper.

M: Slightly bready body, low carbonation.

O: Not a bad beer. This Bavarian hop is quite light compared to a lot of American ones. It has some pilsner qualities, but the orange I am not sure where its coming from. Overall not a bad beer.

473mL can purchased at the Beer Store poured into Keith's pint glass.

Pours nicely with about an inch of head which dissipates pretty quickly. Lacing is pretty minimal. Sweet aroma, mostly roasted malt. Some creamy mouthfeel, bit of a bitter finish, slight aftertaste. I can see drinking a few of these, but definitely not a dozen, lol. Nice dark golden colour, i would definitely recommend this beer to people. Not harsh, but still flavourful. Better than a lot of macrobrewed stuff out there.

473 ml can was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is an orange color with great clarity and bubbles seen coming up through the glass.

Smell: Herbal, spicy, toasty toasted malts, and some pale malts.

Taste: Noble tea like hops, toasted malts, and pale malts.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, a little chewy, light bodied, medium carbonation, and mild hop bitterness.

Overall: A nice mildly hopped pale from Nova Scotia.
