Was able to buy an aged bottle of this for 3 dollars because the local corner considered it out of date. This was jet black, but only with a reasonable brown head. Smell was tempered, perhaps by age. Malt and chocolate came forward, berries were in the background. Perhaps slightly more carbonated than the average stout, but very very good.

22oz bottle. 2015 batch.
A: Opaque dark brown. 2 fingers high of head with moderate retention.
S: Raspberry! Strawberry. Moderate roasted cocoa.
T: Similar to the aroma: red berries and chocolate come out. Low to moderate sourness. Moderate bitterness. Dry.
M: Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation.
O: Flavorful, interesting, and balanced stout. Unbelievable drinkability for a strong flavor stout, the addition of raspberry works as the refreshing agent.

A beautiful dark sexy body. Let's be frank, its jet black. Head is a thick foamy inch and a half of bread crust brown toned head. Nose is a bit of sweet chocolate laced with soft raspberry notes. Taste is initially raspberry jam and chocolate crackers. Dry and slightly tart in terms of body. This one is solid and the fruit does play nicely. Solid stout.
