22oz into a pint
A - Pours a dark brown with amber highlights. Light head, almost non-existant. Mocha colored.
S - A nice bittersweet chocolate nose. Some yeast in the background. Not much for hops.
T - Starts off smooth, velvety and with a nice layer of chocolate. Mid-stream gets some nuttiness flavors. Some bitterness in the finish, and just a hint of some astringency. On the sweeter side but not bad.
M - Moderate body and light carbonation. Comes off a bit thin. A little bit clingy in the after taste, but not sticky.
O/D - A nice and easy drinking porter. A great session porter I would think . Nice finisher beer.

Draft at the brewpub in Seattle.
Pours a very dark brown color that's completely opaque with a two finger light beige head that very slowly fades into a thick lasting ring. Streaks and spots of lace left behind.
Slightly smokey, deeply roasted dark malt aroma with hints of sweeter malts for balance. Coffee bean, dark chocolate, coffee bean, smoked meats and oatmeal countered by sweeter chocolate, toffee and caramel. I'm picking up some faint earthy hops as well.
Lighter bodied than expected with a slightly smokey flavor. Decent roasted malt presence with dark chocolate and coffee bean along with toffee and oatmeal. Sweet and robust notes balancing each other out with some earthy piny hops toward the finish. Pretty tasty but a bit light for my preference.
