Once the world’s largest diaond and now part of the Crown jewels, the Koh-i-noor was reputed to bring bad luck to any male who owned or wore it, but good luck to any woman who did. Brewed with organic pale and caramel-60, with chocolate, black and biscuit malts, flaked rye and black cardamom for a rich and smoky flavor, and just a touch of orange. Bittered with centennial and finished with Cascade.

Poured a deep black with good carbonation and a nice tannish head. Nose is roasted malt, spice, cardamom, light coffee. Taste is where this beer really shined. Cocoa, coffee, roasted malt with cardamom being evident but not overpowering on the taste. very good and well blended together.
Mouthfeel is creamy, coating, sting of light booze and warming. Cardamom and roasted finish. Very good.

taste is smooth and creamy, cocoa, some smoke, spice, a perfume aftertaste, and roasted malts, ends somewhat bitter.
overall a very different but nice porter.
