A: Right off the bat, this brew looks great. A hazy, translucent light-amber colour, crowned with a fluffy white head, which retains very nicely for the ABV. Little spots and streaks of lacing rather than anything special in that department are all that keep this from a perfect score on appearance.
S: Wonderful. The hops nose is exciting in it's floral aroma, and strong undercurrent of a sticky pine and sweet malt. This is a brew that you just can't stop smelling.
T: A slightly subdued hop taste. Rather than hitting straightaway, the pine notes seem to trickle in as you experience the other flavors of dry citrus and the lightest sweet malt. After such an enthusiastic reaction to the aroma of this brew, the taste disappoints, but only slightly. Part of me thinks that on a beer that didn't look and smell so inviting, that I wouldn't be disappointed at all. The taste lingers on the tongue, but does not overstay it's welcome. Nice.
M: Very light-bodied with a clean finish. The body almost seems to have a "weak" quality to it. This is likely the result of such a high ABV which, other than in the thin body, does not make it's presence known at all.
O: Definitely worth checking out, even for the aroma alone. This IPA tastes good and smells great. Wonderful for a summer's day, but a little high in alcohol content for the faint of heart to session. I may buy again if I'm in the mood for it. Unique.

22oz bomber served cold in pint glass. Beer is yellowish pale and just a tad cloudy. Nice white head. Really nice citrusy C-hop aroma. Fantastic smell for an IPA, actually. Flavor is quite gentle for a high gravity NW style IPA, too. Not bland mind you, just not palate-smashingly bitter. Grain flavors are pretty neutral, but the end result is very well balanced (it's still an IPA, though). Leaves serious lacing behind, too.
Possibly my favorite yet from Elysian's Manic IPA series.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Hazy orange body. Big white head. Excellent lacing as it settles to a wispy surface with a few islands of bubbles.
Smell - Orange hops. Grapefruit starts to dominate, though. Sweet malts. Doughy. Pine hops round it out.
Taste - Grapefruit hop flavor. Toasty malt. Still has that doughy sweet malt, but there's quite a bit of toasted malt. Piney and bitter throughout.
Mouthfeel - Thick for an IPA. That's not unpleasant though. Very bitter, seemingly throughout the flavor of the beer.
Overall - A little rough around the edges, but a very nice IPA. Drinks like a double, but considering how flavorful it is, that's a good thing.

22oz bottle. Clear copper with a rocky bright-white head. Sudsy lacing that sticks. Smells leafy, herbal and a touch piney, with a light mix of green citrus and doughy sweetness across the back. The taste is the same, with a mellow mix of green bitterness, herbal flavors and light tropical fruit. A neutral bready sweetness serves as a backbone. Dry, bitter and resinous on the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slick creaminess and just a touch of crispness to the carbonation. Alcohol is kept in check. This was an alright IPA with a good mix of hop flavors going on with it. I just wish that it had been a bit more memorable. It’s hard to justify the more expensive bomber price on this though.
