Poured out as a yellowish gold color with a white head on top that settles into a thin film with a sticky lacing all the way down the glass. The smell a first is pretty hoppy, as the beer opens up a little the grains show through a little more but still hoppy. The taste is nicely balanced between the bitter fruity hops and the sweet grassy grains. The mouthfeel is light and crisp, very refreshing and slightly sticky. Overall it's a pretty damn solid IPA. Could drink this one for a while.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Medium orange color with a strong, bright white head and better than average lacing. The aroma is strong oranges and tangerines with a whiff of pine and vanilla. Slightly sweet crystal malt on the front of the palate with bright tropical fruit hops in the middle without being bitter. The finish is dry and clean. Mouthfeel is creamy without being too heavy. This is a strong west coast IPA but unique enough to stand out from the crowd. Overall, a nice change of pace from bitter hop bombs.

Fresh fruit on the noise. Hops up front, but well balanced. Nice malty backbone and fruity notes on the finish.

22oz into a tulip. Pours a hazy copper color w/ a 1-finger white head that leaves behind some patchy lace.

Aroma is a nice clean blend of grapefruit and pine. Smells like we have a classic West Coast IPA here.

Taste is dry biscuity pale malt and lots of citrusy NW hops. Tropical and juicy, more orange than grapefruit. Chinook, Citra, and Amarillo hops. Nice clean bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is clean and dry, drinkable and refreshing.

Overall a very solid version of the American IPA.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass.

Appearance: light orange hue with a little bit of haze and a strong effervescence. Head poured a thick finger of frothy white foam and has good retention and lacing. I dig it.

Smell: a lightly sweet malt base with plenty of lemony/citrusy hops atop. A soothing blend rather than a high-intensity hop bomb.

Taste: fairly sweet base with those lemony, grapefruity and tangeriney hops again. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth on the finish, which makes this beer seem mellow for its strength. Kind of like a non-session session IPA.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a nice creaminess for an IPA.

Overall: this beer is smooth, mellow and drinkable, and while it's not a big ol' hop bomb it has plenty of redeeming qualities as a nice sipper on a sunny day.
