Mild aroma and appearance. Good fruity flavor.

pretty solid across the board, clear golden color with lightly tanned frothy head. Hoppy aroma of citrus, mostly grapefruit and herbal pine notes Taste of hops and nicely bittered too. Well carbonated with a deceptively creamy head, a bit unusual for an IPA.

3rd time trying this beer...

Too malty. Too sweet. The malt profile and/or possible yeast used is way too English. Maybe it's a lot of dark Munich I'm sensing. Not sure.

Not enough aromatic and intoxicating hops. I don't like the Chinook and Amarillo combo. I made a similar homebrew with the tiniest bit of Columbus for bittering and Citra and Amarillo late and dryhop.... The beer was completely different in aroma/flavor and much better than this. I just get a bad aftertaste and SD is too full bodied for an IPA.

My conclusion is that Elysian uses way too much bittering hops and too little hopstand and dryhops. It would be better if they used the same amount as a bittering charge with more late hops and dry hops. Cleaner grist and yeast should also be a priority for more crispness, clean hop flavor, and drinkability.

Not as over-the-top hoppy as I've experienced with some Elysian brews. Not a bad thing but nothing else really stood out for me.

Served on tap at "The Local" in Saratoga NY. The smell hit me immediately, fruity, and the taste was what I truly enjoy, hop heavy, bitter, and a bit dry. I will seek this one out, I've not seen it in stores here in NY, but not sure I was looking for it either. Excellent IPA

Amber color with a thick head with good retention and leaving laces.
Delicious tropical aroma with predominant notes of passion fruit, tangerines, peaches, pineapple, mango and some bread.
Hoppy flavor with predominant notes of pine, resin, grapefruit, caramel malt, spices, grass, melon, American yeast, a bit of mango, pineapple, tea bags and some lemony. Quite dry aftertaste with a persistent bitterness. You sure can feel its 62 IBUs.
Deceivingly light body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7.2% abv is very well disguised.
Hoppy forward American IPA with nose towards the tropics and mouth towards piney forests and grapefruits yards. This is a great representative of the style, after warming up I kept raising its grade.
