Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a clear medium copper color with a tiny fizzy pure white head. The head fades almost instantly leaving only a tiny level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of toasted malts and a little bit of a spice smell. Along with these aromas is some nice caramel and toffee sweetness as well as a little bit of a hop smell of a more earthy and grassy nature.

Taste – The taste begins with a rather malty and caramel sweet flavor with a little bit of an apple taste. As the flavor advances some lighter spice flavors as well as a bit of a toasted brown bread flavor come to the tongue. Toward the end, some hoppy flavors of a grassy nature as well as some more toffee flavors come to the tongue, mixing with the lightly toasted and roasted, sweet flavors to leave a rather sweet and lightly toasted flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer rather average with a carbonation level that is slightly lower than average. Both are rather good for the malty and sweet flavors of the brew, all while keeping it still heavy enough feeling to keep it a nice fall/winter style sipper.

Overall – A good brew for the fall weather. It has a nice malty and sweet taste with an easy drinking, but still satisfyingly feel.

Pours a nice copper gold with a thin white head. Decent retention and a very nice lace. Nose is of caramel, and bready malts. Body is on the light side of medium, with some carbonation. Taste is rich, with caramel, and grain up front. Spicy, fruity finish. Try this one if you can.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Received this from trxxpaxxs in the Locals Only BIF.

A: Medium copper color with good clarity. Half finger white head with decent retention and lacing.

S: Sweet caramel, grains, and bready aromas upfront. A fruity apple behind all the malts and grains. A bit sweeter than typical Oktoberfest beers.

T: Big caramel and grain upfront. A very light touch of spice in the middle. Biscuity and grassy finish. A off fuel taste when you burp.

M: Light body and crisp. High carbonation. Smooth.

O: It's an alright beer except the high carbonation makes you burp a lot and I get a touch of fuel or chemicals with it.

Poured from a 12oz bottle to a Pilsner glass.

A- pours a nice light copper color with a 1 finger head that fades quickly.

S- has spice malt scent with lemon citrus follow up, smells dangerously close to their Lager...

T- a nice subtle smokey malt with hints of caramel and touch of spice on the end.

M- Light on the feel, crisp, refreshing, very mellow and creamy.

O- This is a good lager, typical with most Marzen's is that their easy to forget about but i can dig this one. The taste alone is worth it, beats out some of the other more advertised Oktoberfests.

Bisonfest is excellent all around. This beer is very comprable to anything that is out there on the market. With what is arguably the most seasonal time of year for beer makers, this one is in my top three. From its perfect Marzen deep gold color to its excellent smooth finish, this beer really says bring on Oktoberfest!

The beer pours a golden color with a 1/2" white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice malty scent that boasts of pale and Munich malts along with a dry lager yeast aroma. The taste is good also. It has a smooth pale and Munich malt flavor that's easily drinkable and clean in the finish. It's got just enough crystal malt sweetness. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a good drinking Oktoberfest. It's not overly malty, but it has enough character to satisfy.

I got this seasonal straight from the dragon's lair, right out of flying bison brewery in keg form. I served this up at an octoberfest party i had. I was very, very pleased with this beer.

Appearance, copper/amber, rich off white head that was eventually reduced to a small ring around the glass. Smell was of medium hops, noble german that is. not over powering, but fitting. taste was was a very, very good combination of hops and malt. Slightly nutty, sweet, obvious lagering and the subtle traces of alcohol (i believe 6%). Great combination of german malts and noble hops to make a wonderful seasonal beer! This was a hit at the party.
